This is how it started,on the 16th of this month which is Monday,i happens to came in contact with a client on Facebook about an advert I listed on marketplace we concluded to use the services of waybill on payment on delivery i went on to give a driver In which the item was to be delivered from Lagos to onitsha,it is my first time of doing something like that cus i don't really know much about those services out of curiosity I gave the driver the package which is an android phone forgetting to ask how much the services will cost,to cut the story short the client stopped picking calls the moment the driver gets to onitsha on the second day, several attempts to call the client he refuses to pick up neither reply to text on Facebook and WhatsApp,i told the driver to bring sent the phone back to me, thats how i get to know he is charging 10k for just a delivery for used phone which is 3k on a norms, without any packaging,am even begging him that i will eventually bear the loss since the client no dey gree pick call again,but he refuses to heed my pleas and said if anything happens to the phone that he will be the one to bear the loss and insisted on the 10k which he didn't even told me before the delivery,i angrily called the driver this morning that i will be paying just the 3k because thats the normal price from other logistics agents, please what should i do guys because I no Sabi wahala please help move to the right place moderators

very simple, client not picking your calls again and not responding to messages. tell driver to jejely return your phone back to you on his next trip back to lagos. tell am say client nor buy again. once he bring your phone back, collect your phone and give him 3k. your mistake. you should have negotiated a price. Most of these drivers if they see the content of your parcel thats when they will now tell you your bill is 20k, 10k and more higher price.

Carry the matter go meet the park secretary or chairman, tell him you want to report the driver, explain everything, that you about to involve police in the matter, but out of respect for am and you still dey send things for the park.

He go collect the money from your hand. Na him go handle the matter, call you when you should come and collect your thing back.

I later reported the matter to the garage manager there he called him straight away and he agreed with him to let me pay 7k,funny enough on getting home which I switched on my phone I discovered he has already started using my phone can you imagine,i don't even know whether he has any other motives apart for just paying for the delivery
