I just graduated from secondary school. I'm applying to study geology I chose geology cause I like geography and my geography teacher introduce it to me is it related?. Is geology based on maths cause my mathematics is poor and I don't Like maths. My major strength is biology and physics and my second chose is physiotherapy I actually liked but courses. O don't know what to do guys. |

If you're a Nigerian, I can't advice you to so either  ...Most courses become irrelevant by the time you're done from school and chances of you using them to work is very slim ...But don't take my word for it, do your research on courses that will still remain relevant till 2030 and see if either of those courses will pop up ... |

Natty111: How can you be good with physics and not good with maths? Physics is mostly all about advance mathematics.... Geology is a nice choice and far better than physiotherapy... I believe, you can work with discovering minerals and resources from the ground... Geology will also expose you to cabon dating and other branches of it.... While with physiotherapy, you might be lucky to miraculously make a rich man suffering from stroke to recover and began to walk very well.. That will be a catchy price to redeem. 1 Like |

Bro no disrespect I respect your opinion but I can equally differentiate my strength from my weakness. I like physics and relatively good in the calculation part also I do explain and lead people on their difficulties in physics. I read and understand the practical applications of physics nothing like cramming here. The problem I have with maths is just that I don't like it. Although it was my best subject in junior secondary school, when I got to sss classes I just didn't put much interest in it. Wanted to study engineering courses but since I do see my self solving equations or mathematical stuffs, thinking of migrating to a better course where I can apply value. |

Natty111:Hello, I would like to comment on this topic of yours. For me, between geology and physiotherapy.....I would beg you to choose, Physiotherapy. I, myself....I studied Geology(Geophysics option) and on coming out.....even in the ministry where my dad worked as a MD....I couldn't see a job. You might be lucky as a Geologist/Geophysicist to get a high paying job.....but I repeat, you might be lucky. I had to switch to working in an Electrical company(someone who studied geology). For a physiotherapist, you get your pay daily...and you can be seeing as many people as you would have the strength to and make you cool cash.....as a private individual...... 1 Like |
