Yes! I know 2 people that eventually married their landlord's daughter. Moreover, some landlord are extension of one's family. Do appraisal before asking him such. Once had a landlord who asks for money when he's broke. He has properties in different states of the country, but he can be wasteful sometimes.

I just packed into this man house recently and he seem like a well to do man, always saying money is not his problem.

He takes his tennant as his family and wants us to live as one.

To be honest, the house was expensive but since I am someone with high taste and nice Serene environment I had to risk it all.

This drained my finances for months now and I am thinking about summoning the courage and approaching him tomorrow for a loan but this is my first time.

Has anyone here ever borrowed money from his landlord before and the experience?

Why not, he is human being. He can even give you the money as xmas gift. In my days as school landlord, I gave out free food n drinks to my tenants once in a while to foster unity

You started on a very wrong footing. Why are you putting your clothes where your hands can't reach.
Look for a place where you can conveniently pay your rent without feeling it.
Move out very quickly and thank me later.
Thank you salary earner that wanted to live big.....

Typical Naija taker or OBT mentality. They see a well to do person and assume he has no problems… and therefore must be obtained.

Live within your means and stop looking what other people have acquired. Go back to work… and spend less than you earn.. Life lesson 101. Money saved today, will surely save you from trouble tomorrow.

Familiarity breeds contempt, if he had carried face up now you wouldn't be contemplating borrowing money that will later turn to story from him. That is how I told a friend on my own freewill to send his account number and sent him money twice only for him to start asking for money because he thought I got it like that something he never did before.

It's bad enough to borrow money around where you are living let alone loan i.e. with interest but Africa proverb says "man's dignity is at home" borrow your loan far away from your abode!

Bad move .
As a landlord I wouldn’t loan you .
And I’ wouldn’t renew your lease for next year.

Dating the landlord daughter is even a lower crime than borrowing from him.

No landlord anywhere in the world no matter how good he is will take u serious if u take this move, pls abort and u are even a new tenant, it's like u want to take ur rent back. Money is not my problem is what landlords always tell their new tenants when they are about to enter, it's a code. Money is the man's problem.

Yes you can but be ready to face the consequences. You will surely get quick notice soon because he will conclude that you won't be able to pay the next rent as at when due.
