Ali Ado, who narrated his ordeal in a series of posts he made on X (formerly Twitter) said he was born into a Muslim family but in the last few months, he could not feel a connection with the religion, hence, he stopped participating in any Islamic activities.

Aresident of Kano State in Northern Nigeria, Mahmud S. Ali Ado, has raised the alarm over alleged attempts by Muslims in the state to kill him for converting to Christianity.

According to him, trouble started recently when his brother noticed that he had stopped praying. He said he was reported to his father who took him to an Islamic cleric for rehabilitation, but after a week, he escaped and since then, he has been hunted to be killed.

Ali Ado said, "I was born and raised as a Muslim in the north. And in the last few months I don't feel or have that connection with the religion so I stopped doing any activity that the religion said we should do. Last 3 weeks my brother noticed that I stopped praying and he reported it to my dad.

"My dad took me to one malam in a place called Arzai, which is like a rehab for muslim kids who are stubborn, use drugs, robbery and kidnaps, and I was interrogated like a criminal, beaten and abused. I spent a week there and escaped to ECWA where I also spent a week and converted.

"I left ECWA to go and get clothes as I left everything I have at home and I can't return. That's when me and a guy called 'The Savior' (Will not mention his name) noticed that we were being followed by 3 guys. We tried to run and the guys shouted in Hausa "RIDDA YAYI", meaning 'he denounced Islam'. Some people took it seriously while the others didn't.

"A scene was created there; some people started beating me. We escaped and went to Sabon Gari police station. I reported everything to them. But they told me that "they can't do anything as I can't live there"

"They can only help me at that moment. They called my parents and they told them they have nothing to do with me as I am a disgrace to the family. We left the next night at about 2am. We went to a place called Badawa and we were followed also.

"That was when we noticed that they were tracking our calls. We ran to Gwagwarwa police station and reported the same issue and their police also told me the same thing. One of them a Muslim said to me he wished they can catch me as I am very stupid to make that decision."

Explaining further, he said he decided to leave but did not know where to go or who to trust, hence, he decided to go stay with one of his friends.

He said, "He doesn't like my decision but won't let me know. I was there. They called him and asked if he knew where I was but he told them no. They let him know that they are all out for me.

"That was when I came on Twitter and messaged @SavvyRinu, I didn't get a response and someone liked @Morris_Monye tweet. I followed him and sent a message and he came through. I never knew who he was or who he is. He saved my life!

"I don't want to fight any religion, I just want to live without the fear that you can make a mistake and religion can get you killed for that. I lost everything but I am ready to start again."

He said he decided to speak out because he noticed that some people were already politicizing the post made by Morris Monye about the matter.

"It's time to find a new home and new life," he added.

He need to relocate tho. To somewhere his choice religion is generally allowed.

I'm not quoting anything. I am citing what real-life Muslims practice

The us.elessness of that religion is topnotch and I wonder why folks still practice it ...

Imagine being slaughtered like a chicken all because you choose to opt out of a religion, chai! Indeed that religion is bondage ...

If not for the fear of losing their lives, I doubt most people would still want to practice sure barbaric religion ...

This is not just about Islam but the persecution that often comes to Christians for following Christ.

Even Saul the chief persecutor of the church, who later became apostle Paul was also marked for death and almost killed on several occasions by his Jewish brothers after he converted from their Judaism to Christianity.

So let's not make this to be about a Islam because before Islam became a religion, christians faced serious persecutions. Most apostles were killed because of their faith in Christ.

It's about the persecutions Christians often face for not being of this world like Christ was, hence why Jesus said, if the world hated Him, it will also hate us, so we'd face tribulations in this world but we should be of good cheer because He's overcome the world. John 15:18, 16:33.
