mariahAngel: 1. Ofada 2. Banga (never tasted it but it gives native rice vibes) 3. Rice & beans ( but the beans is shy. I cook equal parts rice & beans) It is safe to say I eat rice because it is a good 'palate' and can be tweaked anyhow. I also like my protein diced than whole e.g Chicken curry sauce versus whole chicken, asun versus a piece of goat meat etc. It reduces the 'riceness' of the dish. If not for these qualities, I would eat white rice once a decade 1 Like |

bukatyne: That means, you're not that much a fan of rice. Rice, for me is what swallow meal is to typical Nigerians. 1 Like |

There seem to be an attempt to demarket the everly present and always representing Jollof Rice here by not covering it with any protein. If well prepared, it takes the lead while others follow. |

mariahAngel: Not that I am not that much fan of rice; I don't like rice AT ALL and all my rice meal choices are to mask the natural taste/ feel of rice as much as possible 1 Like |

illicit: Ah... you be Correct guy like me... I suspect I'll fall sick if I don't eat swallow food for 3days straight. Could be semovita, wheatmeal, Amala, eba or even the currently deregulated fufu... I just must eat one of them with correct soup, especially okra mixed with other veggies or ogbono or Banga. Those are my best... These Great Foods are part of the reasons I'll never stay outside this country for too long as I feel it'll be too expensive outside... Smh 1 Like 1 Share |

bukatyne: At least, you make the effort. bukatyne: Jollof rice is not given enough credit, in my opinion. What with all that fresh rich ingredients, blended together. Jollof, by itself (even without meat) is a nutritious meal. |
