The parents of Liverpool winger, Luis Diaz have been kidnapped in his native Colombia. The player’s father is still being held captive while his mother has been rescued. According to La Guajita, Diaz’s parents were abducted by “assailants on motorcycles” on Saturday evening. The police and military have mobilized their men to try and rescue them. However, only Diaz’s mother, Cilenis Marulanda, has been freed and she is now under the agency’s protection. Cilenis’ freedom was confirmed by Colombian President, Gustavo Petro, in a terse statement. “In operation padlock in Barrancas, Luis Diaz’s mother has been rescued.
