Hello, good morning everyone, am a freelancer, i have a client from USA who offered me a job bt our issue now is the payment method, normally i use payoneer, bt the client insists on paying with a cheque, he said i should give him the name and address of a relative in US who will receive the cheque and transfer to me and i dnt have any relatives there, he said he was warned by his bank not to make transfers, so he pays in cheque. I want to know if there is a way to receive cheques from US, anyone who knows shud please enlighten me, thanks

Paying you through cheque is risky, the cheque payment might not go through. He can pay with either PayPal, cashapp or Zelle. Those are the most common methods used in paying in the US.
