How do I handle this? I don't think I've ever been this broke since after 2017 when I came to Lagos.

Paid half of my rent 350k (2 months left) and put some money down for a building project at villa.

Now I can't seem to purchase goods again for resell 😕

I sell strictly online and don't have a physical shop, else I would have asked the company to supply me goods and I remit as I sell..

I sell all kinds of iPad, tablets and laptops.

But after making those payments plus living expenses in Lagos, I can't seem to be able to buy up to the minimum order quantity for the goods I import


This is the 3rd week of low/no sales. And if I don't do something some thing go do me.

Any ideas on how to navigate this?

I have 1 spare laptop (in case FB or IG blocks my biz acct on one) and 1 spare Inverter AC.

I should put them up for sale on and can raise 150k out of it but I don't want to pay for adverts on Jiji.

My bro has issues with his bank token so can't send me money now. And I no wan disturb my sisters dem for bar

... my Oga in the computer village Ikeja market stopped giving me goods on credit after dollar crossed the 1k mark... And that was the main genesis of my wahala.

Because usually he gives me 2 cartons to sell off and I remit later

It's surprising how someone like me who has been business consistently for 7 years now while hitting N2m - 4.some Mil in monthly revenue cannot afford to take out 800k from his business without shaking.

I done park my car since. Except for emergencies. I done dey chop 0.0.1 or 1 light snack and 1 heavy meal at nights for months now.

Dstv subscription na the lowest I dey on now. 2500 package.

I done relegate from bottle water to sachet pure water. From Semo to Garri. From tomatoes to palm kernel stew 🍲

We go still send money for cousins, aunties wet hubby done die for villa and bro in school. I go Still chop.

Parents and uncle dey mount pressure say make I marry on top as I done reach mid 30s.

I have never been in such situation in my life since I left East for Lagos. I don't think I've ever been this broke!

I'm trying to see if I can sell something without having to pay for adverts but it's hard doing organic marketing as it takes patience and a stroke of luck.

I go try follow up on Specta loans for 2m.. but then that 30% interest is scarry especially with the NGN losing face value against the USD.

I'm weighing in on my options here:

1. Ask my supplier in Ikeja for more credit stock (I still dey owe am like 200k from the last stock)

2. Ask mumsy for loan but she done already give me 1mil mid-year. Na from there I use dey hustle dey do turnover before those payments I made crushed my purchasing power .

3. Find something else sell... But the question is what??

I get men wey de sell cars for car stand but I no wan put my chop money inside Jiji...

I have 2 months to the expiration of my already paid 6 months rent. I wouldn't mind moving to a less expensive apartment but with which money?

And no be say I dey ball, flex or carry too woman too much. ..

I just don't where or how to do this. House rent no be my issue. Highest I pack comot.

I for done sell the motor since but no be me buy am gan gan. So that decision is not mine to take.

I hope you know that if you sell off some important appliances that are critical for your business such as your gen and AC replacing them will be difficult because prices for new ones have increased astronomically in the market

Yeah. My thoughts exactly. I don't need the Gen I have inverter already but I can leave it out

I get 2 AC and 2 Lappy now... so I fit sell those ones first. 2 months is not a lot of time but a lot can happen b4 then. So I'll keep my fingers crossed

Yeah, FB and IG ads are expensive especially when you are not selling products that are in high demand plus the economy is hitting hard now and people are cutting down on a lot of things.

People earn this? 30k/month?. Jeez! 30k wey I take dey sub normal normal. This life sha. Bros & sis, just find a way to earn in hard currencies (euros, dollars, pounds).
