Life has no inherent purpose. We are born, we grow up, we do some things, we die. And the next generation does the same thing. Our evolutionary heritage pushes us to do certain things (find a way to eat and have shelter, avoid enemies, have friends, make a family, etc), but there is no force behind it.

I am atheist but I'd call myself an existentialist: life has no inherent meaning but I give my own life meaning and that's good enough for me.

You didn't respond to the last paragraph. Has it been adopted by the so called Atheists?

there are a lot of misconceptions you have about atheism

You don't believe in God because He cannot be proven.
Now, is there such a thing as hot and cold.

I've given you an answer, its always relative

-50 degrees which is the average temperature of Oymyakon, Russia is hotter than Greenland that has -4 degrees even though a Nigerian visiting both places would feel absolutely no difference between both and would die in minutes if he's not properly looked after

someone from Oymyakon would consider the Nigerian seaside at very hot even though a Nigerian finds the place cold and breezy

I think I understand OP very well and I've answered OP

but I'll address your question anyways

atheism is simply a position on the belief in gods, nothing more nothing less

when someone tells you he/she is an atheist, the only thing you can conclude is that he doesn't believe in any god, any other thing you assume the person is could be wrong; whatever else is the person's position has nothing to do with atheism and its only the person's personal ideology

I'm a secular Humanist, so I do care for less privileged because I value every human life, I plan to extend this value to animal life soon by becoming a vegetarian; that's MY personal stance and I cannot say the same for every atheist out there
does your atheism have anything to do with you wanting to be a vegetarian?

Hehe .. i just need a yes or no for both questions

no! but I'm wanting to live by the principle of one of the best moralist professor I've ever been fortunate enough to listen to, his name is Shelley Kagan, and his motto is "Don't hurt, do help"

do animals feel pain? yes, so I want to start leaving out involving myself with anything animal meat because we hurt them and they feel it and cry out

I feel Shelley Kagan just brought that part out of me cuz I've always not been able to stand watching a goat/cow being killed right in front of me all my life; I usually turn away as soon as the butcher starts cutting their neck

although cooked meats and fishes are very tasty and its making it difficult for me to start but once I do, there would be no turning back

too bad its not a yes/no question, not every question has the answer you're expecting

hot and cold is always relative

Yes there is hot and cold, both in an absolute and a relative sense.

you could also twist it by saying there's cold, hot is its absence, see?

its just relative, although I would like to know where you're heading to with this ho/cold thingy cuz I suspect its just a means to an end

No both exist, because we can experience both, and cold also refers to low temperatures.

There is nothing like cold. "You can have lots of heat, even more heat, super-heat, mega- heat, white heat, a little heat or no heat but we don't have anything called 'cold'. We can hit 458 degrees below zero, which is no heat, but we can't go any further after that. There is no such thing as cold, otherwise we would be able to go
colder than 458. Cold is only a word we use to describe the absence of heat. Because heat is energy. Cold is not the opposite of heat, just the absence of it."

You are playing a semantic game. Cold is simply the presence of a low temperature, either absolutely or relatively.

A low temperature is not cold. The absence of hotness brings coldness

You've resorted to using a WhatsApp broadcast message in your argument?
What next are we gonna hear? The "Teacher, you can't see your brain, therefore, you don't have a brain" story?

The absence of any human from this world means he or she is present with God or Satan

So, you mean the soul goes to God or Satan?
The soul hasn't been proven to exist, so, what goes to where?

yes there are Christian vegetarians,

You are correct....Christian vegetarians exist....I'm one of them.

So coldness is just the absence of hotness. You can't have more cold ... less cold .. super cold etc.
Thus, to see God or satan, just kill yourself. Life is meaningless abi. You il realise de absence of life is de presence wif God or satan
