Fellow nairalanders,I want to share with you how I was able to defeat shyness in my life.
I am a very shy and homely person from the start. My siblings are not the shy type nor my parents. When we were kids,my siblings will go out to play in the neighborhood and I will always remain at home. My innocent face is not even helping the matter grin
Well growing up,I realised that people take advantage of my shyness and gentleness. It got to a point where by,I made a promise to myself that I will stop caring about what people think about me.It wasn't easy because I have anxiety disorder as well but i have this slogan in mind "anything way want happen, make e happen" so gradually like that, I noticed people started respecting my decisions. They were like"you have changed oo" but then again I DON'T CARE!
Learn to overcome shyness. It helps to express yourself and be real
Thanks for reading

It is not bad either as long as you know what you want and can go for it when necessary
