A quick read through the entire chapter would instead reveal this refers to events that took place after God announced the rebuilding of the temple and the city of Jerusalem which He formerly destroyed.

But knowledge is not enough, experiencing the Spirit of God is where the life and power is.

Study Romans 9. I have pointed you to this chapter for the umpteenth time. Yet you have never addressed it.
There is a place for spiritual rebirth in Christ which makes believers spiritual Jews and heirs to the promises of God to Abraham. Meaning as you said there is no longer distinction spiritually between a Jew or a Gentile who gives his life to Christ.

But there are still the biological Jews who God has rejected and Paul exhorts us to pray for their redemption because they have been rejected for crucified Christ.
