Good day Nairalanders, As times are definitely not nice at the moment, things are really hard, life happens and we may find ourselves at the point where we have to get help from others. Pls am humbly seeking for a job as things have really gone from bad to worse. Am based in Akwa ibom state with option to travel provided there's accommodation. I can work as a Housekeeper, kitchen assistant, Cleaner, janitor.....I also have experience in the hospitality industry as have worked as a Waiter, Barman and front desk offices in hotels. I'll greatly appreciate any job offer thank you.

My humble advice is this, tell ur parents to sell the family land and use it to start something for u. If they don't,someone some day will sell it to solve one problem.

I can not have a land and my children would be suffering and struggling, never.

Sell that family land and let everyone append their signatures to help the family grow and come out of poverty.

I trust my igbo brothers and sisters on this.

They will sell it and first of all come out of financial misery and later repurchase a befitting land for their parents later. That is one quality u can't take away from them.

Imagine the kind of advice a supposed mature woman who is popular on Nairaland is giving. What a pity

So if he enters the street and ends up in jail, you will come to bail him? Nonsense and ingredients

You should have asked what I meant before attacking me oga!Don't be too quick to join the bandwagon that slams negative tags on people.

I m sorry if you misunderstood what I meant the wrong way...but I can assure you it's not what you think, and therefore you owe me an apology.

Entering the street is a local parlance commonly understood by almost everybody.

For better understanding I meant he should look for money and start doing a business of his own instead of working for someone that will pay him peanut and stress him out.

Entering the street also implies he can also learn a trade or acquire some skills which will fetch him money in no distant time.

I respect you that's why I m dignifying you with a reply,if not I go just keep you quiet n enjoy your rants.

Please kindly let me breathe.
You can take the floor if you still chooses to throw insults.

Ok I take my words back. But let’s be honest, if it were that easy to enter the street and become your own boss, 90% of Nigerians won’t be poor nor broke. The street nor easy

We're are all model differently, some people are meant to work in a coperate environment, some are built to be business men /women.

The street is easy to join, except say na you nor wan enter the street, fortunately that's where the goldmine is.

You have to be smart, not too shrewd, but rugged to fit in.

My brother there is the hard way and there is the high way. The high way is to do crime, simple and short, but it will always lead to disaster. The hard way is to humble yourself, be bold, start small, commit to a minimalist lifestyle and look up to GOD. There will always be the house of some rich person that needs cleaning. There will always be working class folks that need to do laundry. There will always be tutorial centers that need to do advertisement like pasting posters and distributing fliers. There are people doing house construction who need people to monitor their project. Walk into eateries and ask to help with doing dishes and cooking. Keep going until you find something doing. Spend only on the necessaries. Keep your eyes open to learn, seize opportunities when they show up and above all draw nigh to GOD in prayers and do unto others what you expect GOD to do unto you.

Have never for once thought of doing crime cause I was brought up in a Christian home.......I'll rather do menial jobs, but the jobs aren't just available atm. Still looking up to God as am not relenting on my job search. Thanks

You know such jobs will not just show up and they may never be advertised. You need to actually meet with people, tell them your predicament and ask them that you need to earn a living. You might be surprised what you may encounter. It may even be an opportunity to hammer big time.
