The Battle Of Jenin: Jenin Camp Massacre by Solitechworld(m): 3:01pm On Nov 10, 2023
Between 3-11 April 2002, 30.000 Israeli soldiers invaded a Palestinian Refugee Camp in Jenin and launched a brutal ground incursion that murdered approximately 45-52 Palestinians and culminated in the destruction by explosives or flattened by army bulldozers a large residential area of Jenin refugee camp, much of it after the fighting had apparently ended.

The razing completely destroyed 600 homes and left 200 uninhabitable.

Given the high density of the Camp, any attack on the Camp was a potential attack against a largely civilian and refugee population. Upon its attack, the lOF declared the targeted cities as "closed military areas, and barred access to the outside world, including media.

It cuts water and electricity in most areas and imposed strict curfews on the residents within the towns.

The assault featured using Palestinians as human shields, denial of humanitarian access, attacks on ambulances, as well as disproportionate and indiscriminate destruction.

On 19 April 2002, the UNSC passed resolution 1405 demanding the delivery of humanitarian aid to Palestinians trapped in the Camp as well as an impartial investigation.

The Zionist regime never permitted access to the UN fact-finding mission and continues to marshal state propaganda in its obfuscation of one the most grotesque attacks upon Palestinian refugees in the last two decades.

The rise of new organized armed battalions in Jenin today reflect Palestinian sumud as well as the ways in which unhealed wounds are inherited by younger generations.

Many of the fighters in the Jenin Brigade, for example, are the children of households who suffered immensely during the Battle, including the murder of their relatives, and have yet to experience any accountability for that harm or reprieve from structural conditions of oppression
