How Submitting To God Leads To Victory by godlyman47: 6:46pm On Nov 13, 2023
And the seventy returned again with joy, saying, Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name. – Luke 10:17

The world we are in is a battlefield whether we believe it or not. We cannot wrestle with our physical strength, mere intellect or worldly reasoning, for the weapons of our warfare are not carnal, but they are mighty in God – 2 Corinthians 10:4

We wrestle and get victory under the lordship of Jesus Christ and with the authority He has given us in His name. The strategy is: submitting to God, praying in the name of Jesus, and taking authority over our enemies, in the name of Jesus.

Submit yourselves, then, to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you – James 4:7

When we speak the name of Jesus, it breaks every chains and fight every unseen battles. Therefore, God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. – Philippians 2:9-11.

Jesus sent out seventy disciples into the village He was about to visit. They returned with joy and said: Lord, even the devils are subject unto us through thy name – Luke 10:17.

You have to identify yourself with the Lord to explore with his name, for your adversary, the devil, knows those who belong to Jesus.

When you are not submitted to God or when you are not under the lordship of Christ, you can be embarrassed like the sons of Sceva.

Some Jews who went around driving out evil spirits tried to invoke the name of the Lord Jesus over those who were demon-possessed. They would say, “In the name of the Jesus whom Paul preaches, I command you to come out.” Seven sons of Sceva, a Jewish chief priest, were doing this. One day the evil spirit answered them, “Jesus I know, and Paul I know about, but who are you?” Then the man who had the evil spirit jumped on them and overpowered them all. He gave them such a beating that they ran out of the house naked and bleeding. – Acts 19:13 – 16

Why do you call me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do what I tell you? – Luke 6: 46

Practically, Obedience to God’s commands is the true sign of your submission and love for God. This is also how you become successful in all areas of life.

The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom. – Deuteronomy 28:13.
