Nigeria is indeed a theatre of absurdities. We keep repeating the same mistakes while expecting different result. If the 2023 presidential election didn't expose the charade called INEC and their madness, then the off-season elections that took place in Bayelsa, Imo and Kogi states should open the eyes of everyone, including stupid people.

Every incumbent governor was busy rigging blatantly. They no longer attempt to even hide their moves. Instead, they now rig with impunity. After the 2023 election, I personally vowed never to subject myself to the madness organized by INEC again. I watched what happened in Imo State and even Kogi last Saturday and felt justified for taking that stand.

Allowing a sitting president to appoint INEC chairman is like allowing Chelsea to appoint a referee that will officiate their premier league match against Manchester United. The very idea alone is absurd! Another example is like allowing Floyd Mayweather to get a referee that will officiate his fight against Manny Pacquiao. Of course, it would be ridiculous to envisage such. Yet that's what happens in Nigeria!

Even if Tinubu ruins Nigeria to total destruction and millions suffer to death, as long as he is allowed to hire and fire INEC chairman, he will automatically win reelection. Same applies to any sitting president! When a president has such unconditional assurance, there is absolutely no motivation to work for the masses.

Nigerians must stop these madness now. INEC must be truly independent and that will only happen if a neutral body that can't be influenced by the federal government is allowed to appoint INEC chairman. Also, the supreme Court Justice and indeed others at the appeal court should never be appointed by the president.

If this isn't done urgently, before the next election. Then our democracy won't survive.

When people were shouting, "Get your PVCs" and I said the number of PVC holders is never the problem, I was called a fool. I told them that, with a few PVC holders, good leaders will emerge as long as the system is good. I said that an increase in PVC holders will only cause more votes for the bad leaders when the system is bad. Dem no hear.

Unless you didn't do a project in the university (I am assuming you attended one), you should have learnt this. If you don't profer a solution, you have ended up wasting everyone's time.
