UK BASED,

I jst graduated, I got 5 schoolarships from top universities and recently got a well paid job all starting in september but am confused to which to do, I have spoken to my employer about this and he doesn't allow me to do my MSC,

Undergraduate- BUSINESS AND MATHEMATICS

MSC- Applied mathematical modelling and scientific computing.

My plans

-If i do MSC it might take a while to get a job and if i got a job, more PAY?

-If i do the job for 3 years i might go straight for MBA after.

Am jst lost.

my advice is to continue with the job for now, I know the scholarships are tempting, but if they were based on your academic performance, they will in all likelihood still be available if you decide to pursue the MSc at a later date.

Work experience is crucial to develop a real world understanding of issues, it will help you appreciate the MSc program better, and by getting a feel of what you really enjoy doing and are good at, you will be able to tailor your MSc focus more appropriately to suit your chosen career path.

That is my opinion, take the job, do it for a year, see how it goes. Simply getting more qualifications is not a guarantee of better job prospects. And as I'm sure you know, 1-2 years work experience is usually required for an MBA program, and that highly increases your chances of getting into a top school.

Since the job is well paying, I assume it is with a reputable firm that will enhance your resume, so in the end, you do not lose out.

What line of study was your undergrad and the proposed MSc? That may also factor in a little in your consideration. Some fields will of necessity require an advanced degree, while others may not. This information will help tailor the advice given appropriately

I agree with Debosky.Another thing you have to keep in mind is a list of your priorities.I'm thinking working for a little time(at least year)would be good for you before you go into the masters program.
