Are there any FPV drone (quadcopters preferably) hobbyists in Lagos? If yes do you guys have meet ups? I've recently started developing interest in this hobby and looking to step it up a few notches. Looking to get into racing and acrobatics and was wondering if anyone else is in the same "madness" with me.

I've assembled an F450 QC drone kit in the past and recently dusted that kit. But for the life of me, I can't lay a hold on a small 3S battery. 4S and above look like a mirage. Also finding it difficult to get ESCs especially the compact single module ones for a quads. I currently have a basic FC (an old APM v2.8 ) which I'm looking to integrate with a Raspberry Pi or Raspberry Pico to start getting my hands dirty in autonomous flights and leveraging the new AI tools available.

Drones are for kids

The real deal are small planes

Any kiddie can purchase drone jammer from china and take down your drone with a laptop strapped with Linux

Lol! Of what benefit is that to the "kid". Loads of drones flying in Nigeria for photography without "kids" jamming them with a Chinese jammer. I'm not even looking to fly an RC controlled quadcopter. More likely an autonomous UAV for Computer Vision and photogrammetry

Kek just for fun

I personally have taken down some dji mavic drones and frustrated the operator

As in I didn't get his point at all. The small planes he talked about, can't they also be jammed? Like you said, he's just trying to show that he has knowledge about drone jammers
