What Jesus Christ warned the people of was God's Judgement to come, Judgment which God promised them would come even in His Old Law - Deuteronomy 28 vs 15 - 57 & Deuteronomy 30 vs 1 - 6. God guaranteed them that it would eventually come upon them and it did just as God said it would over 1900 years ago. That Judgement did not strip them of God's chosen status or the land of Israel. It was meant by God as a condemnation of the people under the Law. Jesus Christ made it known that He did not come to change or abolish the Law of Moses. Rather, He came to bring the sword... God's Judgement... to the people, and God's Judgment says nothing of what you claim.
