What The Conflict Between Israel And Palestinians Has Taught Me About Nigerians by LocalStandard1(m): 10:30am On Nov 23, 2023
I always try to start posts by telling a little about my own experiences. But for months now I don't frequent Nairaland and I will say, there is no bigger medicine to the mind and soul of a person than staying off Nairaland. And staying away from news about Nigeria in general does wonders to a person's personal life, general progress and mental state.

My main issues here and why I decide to put this here is to make us reason and question our own humanity and beliefs.

So since the Israeli vs Palestinian conflicts started many Nigerians, specifically Christians have been siding with the Israelis, even some Pastors like Enoch Adeboye (unsurprising considering his poor judgment) has already jumped on the band wagon of supporting the Israel state immediately. But let us change perspective a little and consider another opinions.

I am from Kaduna State, you might be an Igbo, or a Nigerian Christian who's been ravaged and dealt with by either the Fulani terrorists or the Nigerian army. Let's look at the actions of the Nigerian army in the South East where they usually respond immediately after the killing of a soldier or two and kill people and burn down villages. My dear Christians or Igbo fellows, what do you say about that? Is that justified? Oh well!!

Growing up as a Christian in Southern Kaduna every time there are conflicts in the Middle East and specifically with the Israel State we always see and hear outcries from the Muslims. They'd write things like "free Palestine", "down with Israel". Kaduna State Christians would be on the opposite side praying and cheering for the Israelis.

But as a practical Christian I always wonder even as a child, the Bible says the death and resurrection of Jesus has made us all his own and God's children when we believe and are Baptised. Then how are these people in Israel the only and true people of God? What about us who worship him in spirit and in truth and who claim to know him?

At the start of the conflict some months ago I was on the side of the Israelis till I look into the plight of the Palestinians and I heard the narratives of the South Africans, who where in the same position as the Palestinians some few decades ago. Victimized and put in reservation camps and heavily policed, beaten and killed like nothing, their freedom fighters like the Hamas, considered terrorists. The White Apatheid regime was heavily supported by the same people supporting the Israelis today, the West, Europe and the USA and even the Israelis supported the Apatheid regime. Ironically the same people on the Palestinian side like the Russians, the Iranians, the Chinese etc, supported the Black South Africans.

Currently more than ten thousand Palestinian children, women, disabled, elderly and men have already been killed, and counting. TEN THOUSAND IN ONLY LESS THAN TWO MONTHS! The Arabs have a big fault, in fact they're not innocent. But the majority being dealt with are the average Palestinians.

These same Jewish people benefited the most in the enslavement of Black people, and these same people are sterilizing Black women, specifically the Ethiopian Jews so that they won't give birth to Black children and affect their demographic. These people are not the people of the God me I serve. These Jewish people today are not the people of God in the Bible. These brazen and bold unashamed blatant retaliatory acts is not one for those who fear God.

angryThere are different and more peaceful ways of solving these issues, but the People claiming Jewish today do not want peace till they wipe out and remove all other non Jewish from their homes. These same brutish, and inhumane people are preying on the emotions and beliefs of Christians world wide to continue in the acts of shedding blood irrespective of age, gender or civilians involved. They've blocked the hearts and minds of people into supporting their wickedness.

As a Christian, I know the words of God through Jesus Christ, and this is not it. I refuse to believe we serve the same God that'll clap for acts done by people like these!!!

Don't mind the double standard of Nigerians especially the Igbos, I do strongly condemn the Nigerian army for dealing with civilians each time a military personnel was killed in the east, but the same people who were crying up and down for the same reason are supporting Israel over the deaths of innocent kids in Palestine..... Don't worry, they will be reminded when the same happens again.... E no go far

by the way, why should you mention the Igbos in this your write up, you sound like one of those jealous of the igbo?
The Israelites are not christians, their religion is Judaism, and eye for eye is part of the law they practice, written in the bible as you maybe aware.

besides Israelites cannot live where they live if they practice that kind of Christianity that's in your mind, being surrounded by their wicked enemies who have been emboldened to kill others and destroy property by their wicked religion in the name of jihad.
Now imagine what would have happened to Israel if any of the countries surrounding them was more powerful, they would have wiped Israel off the map.

In fact I think the Igbos should imbibe that Israelis method of facing their enemies, you don't pity those with jihad or shari'a mentality, you should hit them the hardest.
Imagine what happened in the last election, do you think if Igbos had that Israelis' mentality that mamudu would have the guts to do what he did in the presidential election?
Look how Nigeria has oppressed the Igbos, because Christianity has made them not to hold that eye for eye mentality.

Most Christians have be brainwashed that isreal of today are isrealites, when in reality they are not.

As they say, tell a lie everyday and people will start to believe it.

Christians in isreal have no rights but as an Africans i dont support isreal or Palestinian, i only support black people, no one care about us but we have been brainwashed to care about other races when in reality they discriminate against us daily

u havnt read deep enough..there has been no tribe that has been displaced more than the jews. Today that the tables have turn in favour of the jews, we have the social media/ tv so informations travel faster. If there was social media during the roman empire/byzannite empire or the islamic caliphate or the ottoman empire. We would have seen enough evidence of how the israelities were chased out of the promise land by the same arabs/muslims who are today palestines. It was so bad that the holy land with majority of jews during the time of Jesus Christ later had 4% jews because they have been displaced moving towards europe. For much of their history, most Jews have lived in the diaspora outside of the Land of Israel due to various historical conflicts that led to their persecution alongside multiple instances of expulsions and exoduses. ..Today the palestines feel the jews that returned to their lands are europeans that is why they are calling it Apartheid.

In this modern times Israel is only stronger else palestines/ hamas or iran would have done more damage to israel, do you have an idea how many rockets were sent into israel by the hamas. If not for the iron dome maybe tel aviv will be suffering same fate as Gaza.

There's no bigger medicine than being out of nairaland, yeah, but, ever heard of frog on heated beaker mentality, having a laisez fair attitude that everything is ok, until they can't be managed, a dirty house can't clean itself up, humans have to clean it or it'll become so dirty that it'll becomes unliveable, example, Nigeria

The siege of Jerusalem (636–637) was part of the Muslim conquest of the Levant and the result of the military efforts of the Rashidun Caliphate against the Byzantine Empire in the year 636–637/38. It began when the Rashidun army, under the command of Abu Ubayda, besieged Jerusalem beginning in November 636. After six months, the Patriarch Sophronius agreed to surrender, on condition that he submit only to the Caliph. In 637 or 638, Caliph Umar (r. 634–644) traveled to Jerusalem in person to receive the submission of the city. The Patriarch thus surrendered to him, did the Israelis began it? Noo rashidun army under the command of Abu ubayda started it
The Prussian king, controlling Poland, Germany, Austria and cech republic was relaxing and running his kingdom one day until he was told that Muslim army were at his gate asking that he and his kingdom should convert from Christianity to Islam or they will be wiped out, if that king practiced the kind of Christianity you are advocating, there won't be any people representing Germany, Austria, France, Poland and cech republic today.
the impact your hand experiences when you punch a wall is equal and opposite to the force you exerted in punching the wall, Israel is only giving out what they received.
Continue to count the casualties, soon this will start happening in Nigeria, any group that deliberately goes out of their way to attack another without any provocation as is happening in Nigeria today will experience what Palestinians of today are experiencing, God cannot be mocked, you see this Palestinians, theirs nothing that Israel will do today that will equal a tenth of what they had already done to Israel, before technological advancement and the decision to turn all Israeli citizens to military gave Israel the strength advantage over them, they were the highest bullies ever encountered on earth, now that they can't match the ones they use to bully in strength, they still can't accept their position and rest.
angryThere are different and more peaceful ways of solving these issues,
Nobody discusses humanity with savages and slaves of religion, you can only discuss humanity with humans, not jihadist and jihadist under training, all who dared it , the result was their dead bodies or dead bodies of their people
Yeah, like dialoguing with a man shooting at you or trying to convince a mad man charging at you with a knife, like a charging bull, to sit down and talk, do you mean talking in your grave

The issue of Ethiopian women and authenticity
of the citizens of Israel is a different discussion from the attack people on Israeli soil received from Hamas and therefore should be discussed as another topic

b]As a Christian, I know the words of God through Jesus Christ, and this is not it. I refuse to believe we serve the same God that'll clap for acts done by people like these!!!

Christ handled those who encroached and we're trading in his father's temple same way, and all Christians clapped for him, so what kinda Christianity are you practicing, when centurions and their fifties came to forcefully abduct Elisha, he handled them same way.

The truth is that most of Nigeria's Christians do not think on their own, they almost always wait for their pastors to think for them. And most of these pastors aren't the men of God they're supposed to be. That's why as soon as they step out of Nigeria, they begin to see the world as it is, not as they thought it is. They begin to think on their own. Virtually all the foreign based Nigerian analysts invited by the Channels TV on the ongoing Israel War on Gaza think and talk differently unlike the typical Nigerians living in the country.

BETTER TO WORSHIP MOHAMMED THAN THE SATAN YOU WORSHIP.

WHICH RELIGION PERMITS KILLING 20 HUMANS FOR EVERY 1 HUMAN KILLED?

CERTAINLY NOT CHRISTIANITY OR JUDAISM.

THE OLD TESTAMENT LAW AS ORDERED BY YAHWEH IS AN EYE FOR AN EYE, A TOOTH FOR A TOOTH, AND A LIFE FOR A LIFE.

EVEN THAT LAW WAS DEEMED TOO HARSH, AND REPLACED BY THE NEW TESTAMENT.

SO YOUR RELIGION IS THAT OF SATAN.

AND THE BIBLE FORSAW THE FAKE WHITE “JEWS” AND THEIR EVIL ACTS IN THE BOOK OF REVELATIONS.

YAHWEH SPEAKING TO THE REAL HEBREWS WHO WERE BLACKS, SAID “I KNOW THY TRIBULATIONS AND THY POVERTY (BUT THOU ART RICH), AND I KNOW THE BLASPHEMY OF THEM WHO SAY THEY ARE JEWS, AND ARE NOT, BUT ARE OF THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN.”

THOSE ARE THE PEOPLE YOU ARE SUPPORTING TODAY.

THE SYNAGOGUE OF SATAN WHO DROP BOMBS ON TENS OF THOUSANDS OF INNOCENT CHILDREN, BABIES AND WOMEN OUT OF VENGEANCE AND HATRED.

BETTER BE READY TO ANSWER TO YOUR MAKER WHEN YOU LEAVE THIS WORLD, BECAUSE WE WILL ALL BE HELD TO ACCOUNT, AND THERE WILL BE NO IDF OR CNN, OR NETANYAHU OR BIDEN THERE TO HELP YOU.

E no go far
