iPhone por-porri max don come again! I remember one slay queen that came to unlock two iPhones at a shop I was fixing mine. The repairer took one look at the proceeds of many a tireless night with an European returnee, and without mercy informed her that both phones couldn't be chip-unlocked because they were both Android in iPhone Xs max casings! From the inception of gsm in Nigeria, many have put themselves in very awkward situations just to look trendy with the newest gadets. Ifeoma adi agwu agu, good things will never finish. If you like put yourself under pressure to fit in with the Joneses na Tinubu economy we dey so! grin

Overpriced? Yes because of our messed up currency. Overrated? No. Just because you can't afford to get one doesn't make your statement true.
If you were not dumb you would know I own one to assert this claim. I own an iPhone and Android and tbh, the android is more flexible and fun while the iPhone is too rigid and boring.

If you spend more than 1,000,000 naira on Apple products and you have less than 1,000,000 naira worth of Apple shares or any other income generating assets, you are very foolish. This is not an insult. It's a statement of fact.

Let's me carry my foolishness like that . 😌

Must you insult ppl before being able to pass your information across? I also own the two and it’s very wrong to say they are overpriced or overrated and it’s also very wrong to insult ppl over what they have decided to do with their money (not referring to you but one sokoto gidali talking about buying apple shares) These ppl also spend good money putting together the phones with good materials.
Blame your yeye currency, your government through the Nigerian customs and of course, our greedy resellers.
Here is it, the base model of the latest 15PM was released at $1199 meaning that it had the same price point as the ones before it so can you explain how and why 1199 dollars should translate to 1.99 million Naira? (istore Nigeria as of today) Why? Which exchange rate was used to arrive at this ridiculous price?
iPhones are not overrated, it’s your government that’s clueless and your compatriots greedy. All these would have been erradicated if Apple had brought their official stores to Nigeria as such, we would be buying directly at official rates without the customs abracadabra and resellers ripping us off. You would notice that Samsung phones prices are usually fixed i.e not controlled by anybody, you buy what you see directly from the makers and at your country’s prevailing rate because Samsung has presence in Nigeria (official stores)

You have no right whatsoever to insult people over what they decide to do with their hard-earned money. What makes you think they don’t have more than the 1M worth Apple shares sitting comfortably in their accounts or even in business/assets? Realistically speaking, I can’t buy it not because I can’t but because it doesn’t make any economic sense to me and of course, because my account will surely greatly feel the heavy impact and that shouldn’t mean I should start calling others foolish for being able to afford it without feeling a thing. People buy things for different reasons, If it makes you feel mentally better or improves your standard of life, why not buy it?
