Ok I'll start by saying this, I went to the market to get something here in the West, A woman that was hawking some of these vegetables efo riro and shoko , I don't know if I got the spellings correctly please pardon me  She had her baby backed, I don't know how it happened because I wasn't too close to her, maybe what she used in backing the baby wasn't too strong and so in the process of keeping down her tray to sell , the wrapper got loosen and babyfell down, you needed to see how the market women were screaming for her to off her clothes and go round the market naked before coming to carry the baby back, was I surprised? Yes I was. When I got home, I asked my neighbors and I was told if she hadn't done that, when the baby grows up about 7wives will die and if it's a girl,9of her husbands are going to die. So I want to ask the Yorubas here, if what I was told is true or just a superstition something. 1 Like |
