Dear XIAOMi ,

I hope this message finds you well. I recently came across information about the sales performance of your products, and I must admit that I am a bit confused and concerned.

Kinldy explain to the PUBLIC how you got your sales figures ( 19% share sales - 372% Annual Growth) as this figures are not found on the claimed web you got your data from . https://canalys.com/newsroom/global-smartphone-market-q3-2023

As a certified data analyst, transparency is crucial for me, and I believe it plays a significant role in maintaining a positive relationship between customers and a brand. I wanted to reach out to seek clarification and better understand the situation.

Could you provide more details or clarify the information regarding the recent sales performance? Your transparency on this matter would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you for your time, and I look forward to hearing from you soon.

certified data analyst,
Op we admire your critisms and a need for it. I'm not xaomi. IV never even used their phone before. But it seems that you should never have pasted the attached website as an evidence:
https://canalys.com/newsroom/global-smartphone-market-q3-2023. Even though we are yet to trace the link of that graph to it's source. Whether it's from canalys website or somewhere else.

The analysis in that website(link) is for Global analysis. While what you have in your post is for National(Nigeria) analysis.

They seem to be two different things entirely. Eve. Though Canalys.com is the Data analytic website for both your post on front page and what you have in the attached link.

I actually Xaomi would have actually achieved that +372% annual growth in Nigeria becos it was just a year ago they had direct Sales, Services and Customer outlets in Nigeria. I remember when users of Xaomi had to depend on Alibaba and the rest and waited for 3weeks to ship parts thru some sales men here on this very forum.

It's just last year they had these outlets in Nigeria, hence their phones would have attained these astronomical growth in the country. Also bear in mind that Tecno and Infinix stopped being extremely cheap phones.

Only Itel maintained it's extreme cheapness amongst those transsion phone.

It's logical to realize Xaomi must have attained all that is acclaimed in the graph on your post.

It's actually a very good brand and I currently use their phone (Redmi 9) for over 2 years now and it is still working perfectly.

I don't know about this current report but globally, it has been third after Samsung and Apple for over 3years now in terms of sales. If you check Canalys website, they have the relative data...

Nice one

Your post is even encouraging me more

I will try them

Full illiterate ... Go and read my post again I asked them to come clarify their claims for the sales figure and also the once they are using for promotion . Why will they use lies to promote sales? saying they have taken over Samsung ? and made +372 growth sales when the platform they are claiming they got the figures from didn't post such rate ...... PS I was a XIAOMI fan before I left them and reason is because and FYI i still have their product in wardrope

Laughing at your ignorance. They didn't have to get that information from any website, it is from their own sales record. Your problem is that you didn't understand what that 372% means.
It means there was an increase of "times 4.72" in their sales when compared to their sales within the same period last year. Chai!

people are born rich, they can also be born crippled or tall but no body was born a lier. And if you think their is much difference between a politician and a businessman that means you know absolutely nothing about politics. A brand is made up of people, going by your narrative Nigeria should be a bahd brand then.

The data is from Canalys. In your words you're a certified Data Analyst. It shouldn't be difficult getting Canalys to verify the data. A simple email to them should do. That it's not publicised on Canalys website does not make it false data. Canalys mostly publicise global and regional data, and you can easily get them to provide more precise data by country.
Once you've verified that the data is wrong you can then come to say "Xiaomi lied".

You're saying this without verifying the data's authenticity from the source. I believe a Data Analyst should know better. Especially a certified one.

Did canalys say Xiaomi did better than Samsung? why didn't canalys post the result themselves ? send the email you asent to them and the one you got from canalys lets see .... Ok . Both Global and Nigeria they never topped Samsung ! they did well in their growth but using staged performance to sell a product and bring samsung down is the highest of all ...

In other words, you're refusing to do due diligence as a "Data Analyst". Tells me that even if you're shown an email exchange With Canalys verifying the data, you will disagree. Cos in all you've done, you've not brought the supposed accurate data. You only compared global data with Nigerian data.

With that said, I care less if you dislike the brand Xiaomi. That's none of my business. If you did the same thing to debunk any of the other brands I would've requested the same of you.

As you're attempting to hold the brand accountable, I'm holding you accountable as a claimed Data Analyst to back your claims with data proving otherwise. If you're finding it hard to confirm from Canalys, the page you shared with the global data contains the contact info of two analysts from Canalys. Unless you posted without reading the content. I'm sure they'll be more than happy to tell you whether or not the data is false

I don't even see where they put down Samsung. They only posted data. You're the one claiming they've put down Samsung by posting data showing their own success.

You can do better!

You are still arguing. You have disgrace yourself. A data analyst that doesn't understand terminologies, calculations, or even carry out the necessary steps to be sure that Xiaomi is lying?
You have no evidence Xiaomi is lying, you rely on faulty logic.

Kindly keep quiet and let this group die off.

This fool, I've been waiting for your response. Certified Data Analyst but an illiterate regardless. Speaking without seeking counsel. Ended up being more foolish than anyone who would have done what you accused Xiaomi of.

You accused them of falsifying data while presenting unverified and unrealated facts.

Are you not a fool?? The email from Canalys is available on Twitter from Izzi Boye.

So, where is your own proof, or did you act like the fool you were trying to paint Xiaomi as??

What a FOOL. No Cap. A Fool with other Fools on this thread. Like as if you haven't noticed the recent hike in price on Samsung phones in Nigeria. People are buying Redmi because it's an affordable option better than Transion offerings. Not necessarily because they think Redmi is a better brand. It's just more value for money.
