Please has anyone marked papers for ICAN? Somebody close to me is telling me that she is marking papers for iCAN and the organization is lodging them in a hotel specifically for this exercise. I'm quite doubtful because this is a digital age and I was of the opinion that it could be done in the comfort of a person's home. I would like to confirm if the person is saying the truth or peddling a lie. Please I will need honest answers from anyone who has carried out this exercise before. Maybe a detailed explanation on how it's actually done. Thanks in anticipation.

When you say unethical, are you saying I CAN doesn't operate that way. If you have any useful information on how ICAN'S papers are marked I'll appreciate. Because they said if you have a laptop and internet connection you can apply to be a marker. So I do not understand where the dimension of being lodged in a hotel is coming from .

It is true. ICAN usually lodge markers in the hotel for the duration of the marking.
