Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked, or set foot on the path of sinners, or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the Law of the LORD, and on His law he meditates day and night. He is like a tree planted by streams of water, yielding its fruit in season, whose leaf does not wither, and who prospers in all he does. – Psalms 1: 1-3

There are certain things a godly man never does; there are places he is not seen;

He does not take counsel from ungodly men nor make such people his advisers;
He doesn’t waste his time sitting with mockers or those who bully people;
He hates sin and shuns evil;

But these are some of the features of the godly;

He loves God’s word; he reads and feeds on it;
He is honest and upright in all his ways;
He is blessed in all seasons; his fruit doesn’t wither in heat or drought;
Everything he does prospers;

Be the godly man who hates evil, who hates discrimination, bribery, fraud, cheating and immorality. These things lead to sorrow; “There is no peace,” says the LORD, “for the wicked.” – Isaiah 48:22

Whoever of you loves life and desires to see many good days, keep your tongue from evil and your lips from telling lies. Turn from evil and do good; seek peace and pursue it. – Psalms 34: 12 – 14

Let us pursue love, joy, peace, gentleness, goodness, meekness, kindness, faith, self-control.
