So I am opportuned to assist someone in setting up a mini poultry, I might not know much, but I at least know much more than the person I am assisting.

Now I've made research, and found that seems the Chicken breed called isa-Bbrown is the best in terms of egg laying.

A further research shows isa-Brown is a cross breed/hybrid and mating 2 isa-Brown chickens, would never prooduce isa-Brown chicks.

To further make things more interesting, the breeding formular is not made open (openSource) but has remained hidden and known only to those who invented it and that is not in Africa.

How come a lot of people seem to be selling isa-Brown day-Old-Chicks ?

Also, what is the minimum dayOldChiick, one could order from Obasanjo Farm in Ota ?

How healthy or does it make sense even ordering from Obasanjo farm ?

Just before you try to confuse me, Have spoken to a couple of dealers who claims they sell ISA-Brown, but on applying Social engineering, found out they either own their hatcheries, or patronise another hatchery, which are all local and imports nothing.

I conducted my research too, I found out that they were developed in France in the 20th century and thus its genetic makeup and the breeds involved to produce this hybrid like you said remains a trade secret. But what else could these so called isa brown hens be if they are not the real isa brown chickens. If your assertion is true then thousands to probably millions of Nigerian poultry farmers have been scammed or deceived for believing the notion that the popular ISA brown chickens they are rearing are the genuine ISA brown chickens.
