slimjohn2k5: There are cars between this budget and very possible to get. But sometimes, you should be look out for distressed sells or people that wants to Japa out of the country. Some Uber drivers can link you up. I was on an indrive and a driver told me that a corolla sedan car of 2012 was going for 800k and the seller needed urgent car. That he drove the guy to his house and the man asked him to find a buyer for his car. 1 Like |

Thanks all. I really wished I could UP my budget for the car but thinking of other family responsibilities, I have to play safe. I know for sure with my meagre budget, it is most likely it’d be Naija used. I do not want Honda oo. I’d watch out for any Jakpa sales …… it’s a good advice bro. Grateful |

This thread should be in the Car Talk section. Some people would say it is not possible to get a good car at this price range. Nothing could be further from the truth in real life. Many good cars are available at this range, if you are willing to have patience and vet the offers properly. Even some popular brands can be had at this price. Used buys only I should add. These are a few examples off the top of my head: (most between 2000-2010, manual cars are supposed to be cheaper) Toyota corolla /Yaris Nissan Versa/Almera Nissan Altima Honda civic/city are very reliable cars Mazda 3 or Mazda 6 Hyundai Accent/Elantra VW Golf 3/4 Peugeot 206/307/406 Mitsubishi Outlander Mercedes benz C class w202/w203. These are some of the popular ones you can get in good condition as a used buy after proper inspection. There are other less popular brands like the American cars among others. Good luck in your search. |

If the budget is 1.6 max, you should be looking for something within 1.2 or so because you must be ready to spend atleast 150-200k on any Naija used cars.... Change the fluids Check the legs and steering Check the lights and lots of other general repairs 2 Likes |
