Recently Chief Olusegun Obasanjo made a comment that the borders must be kept closed against the importation of poultry products. On the other end of this discussion Nigerians are of the opinion that poultry products pricing is too expensive.


Now, given the intricacies and the required nutrition necessary for poultry, I like us to discuss about sourcing cheap alternative feeds and ingredients for poultry.


I am putting myself forward to produce 100,000 chickens 2024 and to work towards increasing this count from 2025. I like to brainstorm with other intellectuals on reducing the cost of poultry feeding resources and alternatives.


I like us to discuss possibilities and prospects of introducing :

Food processing industrial wastes

Cassava flour

Other cheap alternative possible food materials into the poultry feedmix.
