Out of the 16.3 Million in South West, 15 Million are flat headed developers who dropped out of Primary School in Igbo land, and jumped into Mallam Audu's trailer carrying Cows from Bornu through Igboland to Lagos to come and sell Gala and La Casera inside Lagos hold-ups and sleep under Lagos bridges.

Of the remaining 1.3 Million, One Million are Atikulation Abubakar's people who give birth to uncountable children, and send them to Lagos to come and beg for food.

The remaining 300K are the Edos who claim they created Lagos including the Lagoon, Sea, Cloud, Sky and the people, yet they are begging on the streets of Lagos.

What's the difference angry
Out of 22mili, 10.9mili are poor.
Out of 32.5mili, 16.3 mili are poor.

That's half of the population each

Like late Sen Chuba Okadigbo used to say: "statistics is like the bikini. What it shows is interesting, but it is what it does not show that is intriguing".

These raw figures above only showed raw data rather than percentages, which would have been more useful.
Though I take Nigerian data with HUGE pinch of salt, but let's assume these are accurate.
Here's what my percentages derived from the SAME sets of data say:

92.8% - North west
78.8% - North east
96.1% - North central
50.1% -South West
75.7% - South south
49.5% - South east

How can North East be so much better than North West and even better than North Central, despite the Boko haram problems there?
North east data is what statisticians call "Outlier".
Is that outlier true, or is it the evidence of the inherent inaccuracies contained in these data?

BTW, Nigerians are (by these data) MASSIVELY POOR across the whole country!

When the stats is about SW being the most industrilized region in Nigeria, Igbos will claim they account for 50% of those industries in the SW

But when the stats claim the SW have more poor people, Igbos wouldnt tell u they have enough population to inflate the SW figure

They are two faced and confused cheesy cheesy

What they didn't tell you is that 70% of the SW numbers are Igbos who ran away from their ancestral jungle. grin

Nope
It's more in SW.
Remove Lagos statistics which is Cosmopolitan, the percentages will be more glaring for the poverty in Yorubaland

North West is the heartbeat of multidimensional poverty in Nigeria despite having a President from that zone from 2015-2023.

If SW is 32 million and SE is 22 million then Igbo population is larger than yoruba population by far

Guy, use your sense. Say in one region, out of 100 people, 50 are reach, 50 are poor. Then in another region of 50 people, 25 are rich, 25 are poor. If you want to do your analysis, do you go ahead and say there are more poor people in the first region? If that's your judgement, then you are quite dull. Both region have 50% of poor and rich people. Unfortunately for region A with more people, many of the people that makes up that no are from region B.

If you look at both SE and SW, the population of the poor compared to the total no is 50% in both cases. Unfortunately, there are enough poor Igbos living in SW. We see them here every day.

Moreso I understand Yorubas are your problem. When did Tinubu become president? The north where most of Nigeria money has been diverted to is with overwhelming poverty but you don't pay attention to that. A figure came out yesterday that SE has the highest no of hypertension cases. Now I see why.

There are more poor Yorubas in Edo state than poor Edo citizens you can find in the entire Southwest.
