You are still bleeding because they are still product of conception in your uterus, I advise you repeat the scan and then do a proper evacuation with a misoprostol insertion vaginally or rectally after the procedure |

so sorry, the experience may be frustrating but I suspect the foetus was not properly evacuated. There may still be some parts inside and that is why you still bleed and also blood cloth |

This is as simple as it can get na:you go for a post evacuation ultrasound scan. If all the products have been removed the scan will say so and it would mean it's just something you need to stop the bleed cause it's blood. If on the other hand there were still some products not removed that is causing the continued bleed,then you have to go for another evacuation,giving you an injection or drug to stop bleeding caused by incomplete evacuation is just papering over the cracks,asides putting your health in jeopardy. If bleeding doesn't stop you don't even need the hospital say so,you can do the scan yourself somewhere and take the result to the doctor. Waiting one week is as funny as it gets,unless what you feel is blood is not actually that. Besides,you ain't supposed to feel cramp like pain post D&C.Mild pain after,yes,but definitely not that debilitating stomach cramps. |

buy many pespi drink,like one full crate,pour all of them inside a big bowl or basin that can allow you sit inside,then after pouring all the pespi drink inside,sit down inside the basin for like 30 mins,the bleeding will stop .

Sorry for your loss dear. I had miscarriage 4 years after my first baby was born. The foetus wasn't evacuated, rather the doctor discharged me from admission after scan and said the abortion was already taking place naturally. I bled for about 2weeks and even few days more before it stopped on its own. Thank God 3 months later, I took in again and had my second baby. Don't worry, the bleeding will stop. As long as you have gone for scan after the evacuation and there is nothing left. Naturally, it will stop. Taking injection I do not consider necessary. But like you have been doing, you can still meet with your doctor especially if the flow doesn't stop after 2weeks. Take care. |

The medication the doctor is likely to administer, would contain synthetic estrogen, as found in birth control pills.
Yes, it will stop the bleeding but the end result would be breast cancer.
Do your research on cassava leaves and honey and other effective home remedies that works naturally to stop bleeding. |

Who still does D&C at this age and time?
This is already obselete na.
Something that can easily be done with MVA & Kalman's syringe.
Infact at 6weeks GA, medical removal with the right dosage of Misoprostol can be attempted.
Anyways the injection you'll be given is most likely Tranexamic acid 1g to stop the bleeding.

How many pad per day do you use? How many days now bleeding? From my experience (not a medical advice) Take a scan to establish that the uterus isn't ruptured. Don't take the injection, the side effects are dire The bleeding will stop 2 weeks ma ( I know, it's tiring) Use analgesic and antibiotic for infections. Were you given misoprostol after the procedure? |

The doctor said I can't carry out any scan until 2week later. And today is making it just one weeek Having menstrual-like bleeding within the first week post-evacuation is normal. It may also come with mild cramps. But if a repeat scan is considered, it's better done earlier to rule out retained products. 2 weeks may be too long in the event of retained products as the risk of infection/sepsis may be significantly higher. Note: If such scan is done, it's normal to see minimal amounts of tissues or blood within the endometrial cavity (womb) which would flow out similar to menses over a few days. |

Those clots you are seeing, may be Products of Conceptions(what we call pieces of the baby). So my diagnosis is a possible Incomplete Abortion. Do a second pelvic ultrasound. If it sees products of conceptions and an open cervix, then my diagnosis is confirmed. You need a second uterine evacuation, this time they need to sound the uterus after. The injection(possibly IV tranexamic acid) may reduce the bleeding but it would reoccur if it is an incomplete abortion. Good luck |
