A UK-based Nigerian lady has taken to social media to voice her complaints with a Caucasian man who, despite being the one to take her out on a date, wanted her to share the cost.

She described in a video how difficult it is for Nigerian women to date men abroad as, in contrast to Nigerian men, they do not pamper their wives.

According to her, she wasn't even used to that sort of food so she did not eat as much.

After eating the meal, the waiter had come up to them, asking if they should split the bill.

She initially thought it meant that he wanted them to split it so he could pay in cash and also by card.

However, the waiter brought the bills, giving it to each of them to pay for their meal.

The Nigerian lady explained she had to pay to avoid embarrassment but that was the last time the Oyinbo man heard from her.

Well, I think this is the mentality of our Nigerian ladies. On the flip side, na normal thing with the whites. You go on a date with anybody especially for the first time, the bill is splitted, and there's no issue about that. Went on a date with this white girl sometime ago, the Nigerian in me was ready to pay for her bills as per normal. However, the bills came separately, she paid hers without a fuss and I paid mine. So na so e be my dear, no vex for the guy na their way except maybe when una done dey date. I have even seen partners and married couples split bills. It's their way of life, but that doesn't mean they can't or don't pay for each other though.
