APC is an albatross, takes the shine off Ondo State- Sola Ebiseni.

Addressing members of the Ondo State Executive Committee and other faithfuls of the Peoples Democratic Party at the Secretariat in Akure, Chief Sola Ebiseni said the APC has been an albatross around the neck of the people of Ondo State, noting that it has taken the shine off the Sunshine State.
A lawyer, former Chairman of the old Ilaje/Ese-Odo Local Government, three times Commissioner and a Federal Government delegate at the 2014 National Conference said some of the people-oriented programmes of the past administrations have been destroyed by the present APC government in the state.

Some of the abandoned programmes include the Mother and Child Health Programme, the neighbourhood markets, Free Bus Shuttle Programme by which children were being taken to and from school, noting that when the government recently after seven years decided to bring some of the buses back on the road “as part of its pretentious palliative programmes, it lacked the decency to even repaint them”.

Ebiseni who was the Chief Returning Officer for the PDP in the 2019 general elections in which the party defeated the incumbent APC government in the state by winning the Presidential election, two of the three Senatorial seats and four of the nine House of Representatives seats with APC having only four and SDP one regretted that disunity and internal squabbles have now denied the party its strength.
Delving into the history and geopolitical analysis of the state by which former Governors ensured that dividends of democracy evenly touched the people and every nook and cranny of the state Ebiseni said the APC administration lacks the required knowledge to govern the state peacefully.

He offered himself as an agent of peace and unity within the party in the state noting that he demonstrated same in the past when he worked for the party as Chairman of the Reconciliation Committee even after losing in the gubernatorial primary in 2020. He sued for the coming together of the opposition parties to rescue the state from the rudderless state into which it has been plunged by the APC.

Earlier in his address, the State Chairman, Honourable Fatal Adams extolled the virtues of Chief Ebiseni and noted that his type of politics continues to add value to the party and politics of the state and in the Southwest.

Also Dr. Dayo Awude the Vice Chairman of the party and Dr. Kola Ademujimi former Chief of Staff both of whom were Sola Ebiseni’s colleagues in the cabinet of Dr. Olusegun Mimiko gave vivid accounts of his deep knowledge of the politics, performance in his ministry and admirable respect for arrangements which ensure peaceful and participatory democracy.
