Well, mate, here's my two cents on this. Religion is a personal choice, and you have the right to believe or not believe in whatever you want. You don't have to follow the crowd or the tradition, if it doesn't make sense to you or if it doesn't make you happy. You don't have to join another religion, if you don't agree with its teachings or practices. You don't have to label yourself as anything, if you're not sure or if you don't care.

The most important thing is to be honest with yourself and do what feels right for you. Don't let anyone pressure you. Don't let anyone tell you what to do or how to live your life. You're the only one who knows what's best for you.

Religious-wise, nothing is guaranteed. People are just blindly searching in the pitch of darkness.

I have told you. I wont force it.

I was born and raised as a follower of a certain religion, so also my parents, siblings, close and distant relatives, grandparents, great-grandparents, and so on.

As the time goes on, I stopped practicing for eight to nine years, especially due to individual and collective attitudes and behaviors of the followers of the said religion, and the major parts of the teachings embedded in the scriptures of that religion.

For long, I was toying with the idea of joining the rival of my former religion, being Christianity and Islam are the dominant religions in Nigeria.

But deep down into my heart I feel more comfortable to be atheist/agonistic.

My fellow Nairalanders, what's your take on this?
