FEC Takes Universities, Polytechnics, Colleges Of Education Off IPPIS.

The approval for the exemption was given by The Federal Executive Council at its meeting on Wednesday at the Presidential Villa Abuja.

Federal Universities, Polytechnics and Colleges of Education have been taken off from the Integrated Personnel Payment System (IPPIS).

The Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman disclosed this while briefing State House Correspondents alongside other ministers on the outcome of the FEC meeting, and said this takes immediate effect.

According to him FEC also observed that Vice Chancellors of Universities didn’t need to abandon their work to come to Abuja to process the salaries of their personnel.

Good one. VCs would start giving jobs

They will now start working in multiple upon multiple universities at the same time and collecting 100k from 4 schools in one month good for them.
But student loan has come to stay and so as increase in school fees.

No strike in 2024 assured.

There is more to this. I don't trust Nigerian government. May be this will now lead to university getting her full autonomy and paying her staff.

Remember that few weeks ago, this same government wanted 40% of what comes into the University’s purse.

Let's not forget the students' loan which will kick off by January.
