aktem: I use typescript with angular whenever I build full stack app and it's like a default Language for angular even though I Google most stuff I use in my components. |

Javascript is the language 0f the web, even if you learn typescript, it will still be transpiled to Javascript for the browser to understand 2 Likes |

Typescript is great especially for project collaboration and maintenance. Irrespective, know your Javascript very well. I did not know Javascript well enough before I dabbled into Angular not even knowing what typescript is. I was completely lost for months not knowing Angular syntax from typescript syntax and Vanilla Js syntax. |

aktem: Just leave that front end dev.. If you want to dive in use JS.. Too many Lang and frame works on the front end make things now difficult.. Too many packages and things to learn every day.. At the end it’s like moving in a circle.. Don’t waste ya time learn TS, learn Python hon instead.. I will suggest u leave the JS ecosystem.. Enter PY. |

Don’t be carried away by all the job Promises in TS.. Ask those that have learnt TS if they have gotten any job.. TS is just another stress for front end devs and it takes everyone no where.. |

Personally TypeScript is just JavaScript with static typing, some devs like us, don't like languages that are not static typed, because it can easily lead to errors, but I'd say start with JS for now, then move to TS when you are good with JS, I did 8 years of JS, so TS is what I only write now, all my extensions in Chrome are built with TypeScript. |
