In a social media uproar that unfolded on Thursday, a hair vendor known as DBeauty Mogul took to Instablog to accuse Josephine Otabor, popularly known as Phyna and a former Big Brother Naija winner, of allegedly refusing to return a wig that was supposedly rented for a movie premiere.


The controversy centers around the claim that Phyna failed to adhere to the agreed-upon return date, raising eyebrows and igniting a heated exchange between the two parties.


According to the message posted on Instablog, the vendor asserted that Phyna had rented the wig specifically for the movie premiere of "A Tribe Called Judah" on Sunday, December 10, 2023.


The terms of the agreement dictated that the wig should have been returned the following day, on Monday, December 11, 2023. However, the vendor alleges that, as of the time of the message, Phyna had not fulfilled her part of the agreement, leaving the vendor in a predicament.


The message from DBeauty Mogul, posted on social media, pleaded for assistance, stating, “Phyna rented my wig for the movie premiere of A Tribe Called Judah on Sunday (10th, Dec 2023).


She ought to return the wig on Monday (11th, Dec 2023). Till this minute, she hasn’t returned my wigs. Can you please help in any way.”

Kudos to people who feel comfortable renting wigs... they will rent anything! That said, I think the vendor is being unreasonable here. According to her, the lady rented the wig on the 10th to be returned on the 11th, you called her out on the 15th (4 days after the due date). While the vendor's desperation for fame is duly noted, it's unnecessary and unhealthy for business! I'm sure she transacted this business offline somehow, but you never mentioned that you have exhausted all peaceful means of retrieving your wig from her before rushing to wash the dirty linen in public.
