Please he is not my brother.

To answer your question Jehovah's Witnesses reject blood transfusions based on interpretation of certain biblical passages. We believe that the Bible prohibits the consumption of blood, and this belief extends to receiving blood transfusions. The key scriptures they refer to include passages such as Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:10-14, and Acts 15:28-29.

Speaking of blood transfusion have you all seen this. A first of its kind.

Public relations job in the realm of Jehovah's Witnesses is not easy. You will have to defend conflicting and contradicting things that in reality don't exist

To answer your question Jehovah's Witnesses reject blood transfusions based on interpretation of certain biblical passages.

I have to rephrase this.....

To answer your question Jehovah's Witnesses reject blood transfusions based on their own interpretation of certain biblical passages.

Now let's see what follows

We believe that the Bible prohibits the consumption of blood, and this belief extends to receiving blood transfusions.

The problem you have is all the Bible verses (Genesis 9:4, Leviticus 17:10-14, and Acts 15:28-29) have nothing to do with blood transfusion in content and context. So when you say....

and this belief extends to receiving blood transfusions

You are only advancing the doctrines and commands of men, it has nothing to do with the Bible you carry. The blood the apostles said the congregation should [b]keep abstaining from has nothing to do with blood transfusion
in content and context. It reading what is not there into it.

It's not that simple. The scriptures are clear. Abstain from blood. In order words, have nothing to do with blood.

Alot of people are quick to judge witnesses for choosing to abstain from blood when a member dies but are silent when they read news like this

Fine

Abstain from blood.

Good

Are Jehovah’s witnesses today having nothing to do with blood?

A. Yes

B. No.

Reading news or not has nothing to do with the points discussed here. Medical treatment comes with its numerous advantages and disadvantages. Paracetamol get im own advantages and disadvantages. That should tell you the other story. I await the response to the questions above?

I understand. And I don't blame you for having such a view. Some of our members can act like extremists.

Some feel others are spiritually weak based on a certain lifestyle they choose to live. Some will argue tooth and nail to defend certain policies only to later look stupid when such polices are corrected or adjusted.

Like I said above, it is not everything the governing body says that we do. They are infallible men and they make mistakes. That is just the plain honest truth. Some of us live quietly without wanting any privilege of service or seeking some form of recognition or undue attention.

As long as you are not breaking a commandment from God's word the Bible, you're good to go.

Take not of the words in bold. They are equally words synonymous with those classified as cults. Na perspective.

That some members chose to "think outside of the box" all while in the box does not change the fact that the organization is a cult though. undecided

2. Of course not all rules will be accepted by all. Unless the governing body has some sort of militia in place to enforce their every rule, there really is no way it can succeed in coarsing all members into following all of the rules. However, that does not change the cult-ish impact of the organization on its members. Another example of a cult/denomination within the religion of Christianity is Deeper Life. The group has had to abandon several old rules over the years but their status as a cult remains intact, same as that of the JWS. undecided

One point of note here.....

Of course not all rules will be accepted by all. Unless the governing body has some sort of militia in place to enforce their every rule, there really is no way it can succeed in coarsing all members into following all of the rules.

Those non negotiable rules are enforced by principal members like the elders and circuit overseers in their midst. Going against those one is as good as going against the Governing Body aka voice of Jesus Christ aka god. John 1:1

Very well, to each his own.

Does the above really apply? Jehovah’s witnesses call other Christians classed as Christendom lie lie Christians(Pidgin), false christians. They had to do this constantly to reassure members they are the only one that are true Christians. MaxInDHouse the madness and insanities peddling brains will never agree that true Christians exist outside of the religion of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Yes I am aware.
The fact that they did that doesn't mean we actually are a sect or cult.

The Russian government called us extremists and even went as far as jailing some of our members but in 2022 the European supreme court issued a landmark judgement against Russia.

You don't see Jehovahs witnesses protesting or rebelling against governmental authorities do you? You don't see us join political parties that divide the masses, you don't see us encourage violence and destruction against people and their properties, you don't see us in support of wars or rebel groups or weird movements like LGBT, BLM, etc..

We mind our business and separate ourselves from other churches which you and I very well know have been tainted with new age Kabbalah belief's.

Do you know Jehovah’s witnesses are terrorist based on one of their practices upheld up till today?

The Jehovah’s witnesses even have evidence published in their own publications that they are terrorist. Are you interested in seeing it?

Nowyouknow, I am going to address the topic of this thread. I earlier said in order to know if you are in a Cult, you have to study other Cults and compare to see if Jehovah's Witnesses are truly a Cult. One example of a Cult is Scientology.

So many similarities between Scientology and Jehovah's witnesses.

Both Scientology and the Jehovah’s Witnesses have the same crimes and the same punishments, albeit under different names. In other words, if you’re a Jehovah’s Witness and you believe that Scientology is a Cult. Then you have to admit that the Watchtower society is also a Cult because you have the same methods of control!

Watchtower practices Disfellowshipping
Scientology practices Disconnection

Watchtower calls people who leave Apostates
Scientology calls people who leave Suppressive Persons

Watchtower has a Legal department
Scientology has Office for special affairs

Watchtower says DOUBTS
Scientology says REACTIVE MIND

Watchtower has BETHEL
Scientology has SEA ORG

Watchtower has WARWICK BETHEL
Scientology has GOLD BASE.

Both cults practice the shunning of former members and both cults regard ex-members who criticize their organization as dangerous, liars and proud.

Both cults also control the information their members have access to. Both cults also tell their members to stay away from negative views about them.

Both Cults have documentaries and News stories detailing abuse of members

Lol. Easy bro. Am not here to win a debate or convince you to adopt our believes. I have been 100% honest about the organisation and it's flaws, that not public relations.

Am here to answer questions about our organisation to the best of my ability. At the end of it all, You are free to believe whatever it is you what to be believe.

Now to the subject about blood. We reject blood transfusion. However, members are allowed to accept some minor blood fractions, such as albumin, clotting factors, and immunoglobulins, depending on their personal conscience.

We also accept several alternatives to blood transfusion such as: Volume expanders, Antifibrinolytics, erythropoiesis-stimulating agents (esas) and cell salvage.

Hospitals that have the above have no problem in treating members of Jehovah's witnesses.

The point I was trying to make with the news articles I posted is that there are ALOT of risks involved in blood transfusion and alot of medical doctors are beginning to adopt the witness style of treatment. At your leisure you can look for and read this article by the new Yorker.

Hide and white wash or just plain honesty... you're free to see it which ever way you want.

I think the misconception most people have about Jehovah's witnesses is that they are ALL a bunch of brainwashed individuals. If the governing body tells us to jump inside fire then ALL witnesses will jump inside fire right? Wrong!

That's what I want people to understand.

Some may wonder, well if you don't believe in everything they (Governing Body) say why are you a witness?

Because I see reason in some of their teachings and doctrines such as:

Not participating in wars or politics or being members to rebel groups.

Having a realistic view of God and how he operates unlike churches of today that tell you to speak in tongues and paint God to be some sort of father Christmas or superman whose favour you can get if you pay tithe.

Non believe in healings and miraculous works from a particular " Man of God".

Avoiding a hedonistic lifestyle.

Avoiding new age practices. (Yoga , meditation, numerology, kundalini etc)

I choose to remain a witness because I can see for myself that certain teachings have a positive influence over my life. Teachings that are not present in any church today.

Let me break this down.....

Hide and white wash or just plain honesty

Your eyes will see what you want it to see just as you admit below

you're free to see it which ever way you want.

That's reality I talked about.

I think the misconception most people have about Jehovah's witnesses is that they are ALL a bunch of brainwashed individuals. If the governing body tells us to jump inside fire then ALL witnesses will jump inside fire right? Wrong!

It is your thinking about others anyway. In the realm of Jehovah's Witnesses many believe PIMI and PIMO are present. Not all are members based on the total adherence to the beliefs in there. The PIMI will indeed jump inside fire or something more dangerous than fire when the GB ask them to do so afterall the GB said they should be ready to obey whatever they say when those sayings are not strategic from human standpoint.

That's what I want people to understand.

Good

Some may wonder, well if you don't believe in everything they (Governing Body) say why are you a witness?

You are a witness and you don't believe in everything they do. You are in the class of PIMO(Physically In Mentally not completely Out)

Because I see reason in some of their teachings and doctrines such as:

Interesting

Not participating in wars or politics or being members to rebel groups.

The slanted view they made you to believe about wars and politics. grin grin grin Your religious organization accept SELF DEFENSE. DO you know what that means as it concerns war and politics. Na slanted VIEW you accept. That they belief self defense is justifiable tells me you don't even understand their views about wars and politics.

Having a realistic view of God and how he operates unlike churches of today that tell you to speak in tongues and paint God to be some sort of father Christmas or superman whose favour you can get if you pay tithe.

NowYouKnow, to ju ba farabale a ri mu. Na same mode of operations.

Non believe in healings and miraculous works from a particular " Man of God". Avoiding a hedonistic lifestyle. Avoiding new age practices. (Yoga , meditation, numerology, kundalini etc)

All of the above are not practice only by Jehovah’s witnesses grin grin grin. Na reality you have to accept

I choose to remain a witness because I can see for myself that certain teachings have a positive influence over my life. Teachings that are not present in any church today.

Good for you. What I know is there is nothing practised in the community of Jehovah’s Witnesses that does not originate from somewhere. Nothing Jehovah’s witnesses have that they did not receive from elsewhere. They should stop boasting in them as if they manufactured it from heaven.

Exactly. Watchtower lies to Jehovah's Witnesses that they are so unique as the One True Religion. NowYouKnow, This is a Characteristic of Cult Leaders. They convince you that you are special, unique, The Best out of all. This is the reason why people who are in Cults are usually not aware they are in one.

Being the One True Religion means you must be different from others. Because of the level of Information Control Watchtower holds on Jehovah's Witnesses, they are not aware that they are very similar to other Cults. NowYouKnow believes Jehovah's Witnesses are not a Cult. So, he needs to use his Critical thinking skills and ask himself Why are Jehovah's Witnesses so similar to other Cults if truly they are not one?

Regardless of whether it is a trick or not, let's call a spade a spade. There is no record of Jesus or any of the first century Christians celebrating the day of their birth. Besides, if life is filled with problems, tragedies and tribulations what's really special about the day of one being born and brought to this life? Why is it worth celebrating? The day of one's death is far better than the day he or she was born because the day you die, you rest. No more toiling under the sun.

The discussion continues

Regardless of whether it is a trick or not

No one is here to trick regarding this birthday palaver

let's call a spade a spade.

Nowhere the Bible explicitly says birthday celebrations is wrong or right.

There is no record of Jesus or any of the first century Christians celebrating the day of their birth.

Good which shows no content or context is available to base the belief upon that it is wrong or right to do so. Simple!

Who are you to judge someone else’s servant? To their own master, servants stand or fall. And they will stand, for the Lord is able to make them stand. One person considers one day more sacred than another; another considers every day alike. Each of them should be fully convinced in their own mind. Whoever regards one day as special does so to the Lord. Whoever eats meat does so to the Lord, for they give thanks to God; and whoever abstains does so to the Lord and gives thanks to God.

Besides, if life is filled with problems, tragedies and tribulations what's really special about the day of one being born and brought to this life?

Will you choose suicide as an option since life is filled with tragedies and tribulations since the life is not worth it and end the nightmare once and for all. The day of death is better than day of birth. The day of birth remains good and good news and joy to the family whenever they hear the cry of a new born baby. Babies are precious gift from God and that's a life. Babies and life are not meant to be seen as tragedies and tribulations because of man's actions and inactions.

Why is it worth celebrating? The day of one's death is far better than the day he or she was born because the day you die, you rest. No more toiling under the sun.

When you receive gifts from someone precious to you, you celebrate and you are joyous. The gift can make you do unimaginable things does not make what you receive bad or no longer to be called good gift. The father give good gifts. The day of birth and babies remains good gift from the father to mankind. That doctrines was meant to bring division between your religious organization and others nothing more. It has nothing to do with the Bible.

Why shouldn't I question the GB or disagree in certain doctrines that they eventually correct? Are they perfect?

It is only an educated person that can ask himself or herself these questions and answer them honestly.

You've tried. It's obvious your smart and your brain was partially but not permanently soaked in JW hypo. From your write-up my assessment is you're clinging to a sinking ship even when you know the ship is badly damaged and it is sinking. I am not a prophet but eventually, you will realise how pointless it is to cling to the ship and let go of it.

Education gives one enlightenment. It prevents you from being ignorant or kept in the dark and it sharpens ones way of reasoning.

At the first bolded in your above comment, Yes. That is part of Cult 101. All Cults demand their members to shun all members that leave. It is a Must. This is one way to know You're in a Cult. Do well to watch documentaries on Cults. You will see this there.

At the 2nd bolded, Bethel is part of what Watchtower calls Worldwide Order of Special Full time servants or The Order. Very Culty. I saw this in a welcome Letter given to a Bethelite who just got accepted to Bethel. And Yes, there is absolutely nothing special about Bethel. There are so many unthinkable things that happen there. Let's just say anything you know that happens in an office and a typical congregation happens there. Bethelites who have been there have been kind enough to expose what really goes on there. If you are interested, you can Google. If you aren't open to that, kindly ignore.

At the last bolded, that is the biggest fear of a Cult leader. All Cults endeavour to force their members to be dependent on them. So, they come up with doctrines that keep the membership ignorant because when they are so, they are easy to control/manipulate. This is a Cult Tactic you will find when you do your research on Cults in general.

I appreciate your sincere submissions. I have warned Maxin or Maximum to stop abusing people here. Yes, I also strongly disagree with GB's view on higher education, there are accountants, doctors, lawyers in the services of the organisation, if education is wrong why retain their services? I think the logic is they don't want people's eyes to open to many of their misleading doctrines, people should be free to express their minds without being called apostates, I personally don't agree that blood transfusion is wrong if they allow members to accept blood fractions, are the fractions not the main components of blood?

NowYouKnow never see the separation between words of God washing him clean and Jehovah’s organisation washing him clean from questionable practices grin grin grin

That confusion is still in that concept of "Jehovah’s organization" which simply means the Governing Body of Jehovah’s Witnesses aka the 9 men housed in USA directing and manufacturing doctrines for those under them.

Exactly at the bolded. This is the point I have been making all this while. I have asked the JWs here that Are you really abstaining from Blood when you need the same Blood to get fractions? Isn't it someone's blood you are using to get the fractions? The same person who decided to donate his own blood by breaking this rule so that you can have it to use? Why can't you donate blood if you need the fractions? It is pure hypocrisy and makes no sense. You are not abstaining from Blood this way. You still need Blood. If you have to abstain, you must avoid using the Fractions as well. Your conscience is even supposed to tell you that you are still not abstaining this way.

Whenever I ask the JWs in this forum this question, they always run because they can see how senseless this is.

Exactly!

He still thinks God is educating him spiritually through the organisation. Hence his reason to still cling to the organisation despite so many glaring red lights that prove God has nothing to do with that cult. He will wake up. He is on the path of awakening whether he believes it or not.

NowYouKnow, I am going to break down these points below and tie them to how Jehovah's Witnesses operate.

Point 1: Followers feel they are never good enough.

When you go to the Kingdom halls and Conventions, are there times that what they say to you in talks makes you think you are not doing enough for Jehovah? Remember those talks about Brothers and Sisters making huge sacrifices that you know within you, you can't do them. They are not realistic especially with life's realities today. But for some strange reason, they are shown to you as shiny examples to emulate. Huge sacrifices include, Dumping University education to go to Bethel, rejecting scholarships, rejecting a job offer, selling your homes to engage in full time ministery, etc.

Why do Cults do these? Because it is a psychological control used for their own benefits to advance their interests and in turn make them richer. They need to equate all these sacrifices to Doing more for God when in fact you are doing all that for them. This is when they are able to control you well. They need members to also feel Unworthy with low self esteem. When you are kept in this head space 24/7, you will be eager to Please them and do whatever is asked of you. You will always want to do more and more and more. There is even a talk in JW org from one of your Governing body member, the only black man amongst them. The title of the talk is: Is your Best Good enough? All Cults disregard human limitations. This is why you will hear questions in JW talks like: Can you do more? Is there a way you can do more? Is there a way you can do more of this or that? Is there a way you can do more for Jehovah?
