President General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu, has vowed to fight those fighting President Bola Tinubu.

Iwuanyanwu said the entire Igbo nation would support Tinubu’s administration.

He urged the president to give Igbos their rights and be fair to the Southeast race.


The President-General spoke during a courtesy visit to the Oba of Lagos, Rilwan Akiolu, in his palace yesterday.

Iwaunyanwu also disclosed that Igbos were told not to vote for Tinubu in 2023 because it was “our turn.”

He said: “Bola was very good to us when he was governor. He treated Ndigbo very well. During the time of the governorship, Igbo in Lagos came to me, and I told them to support Governor Sanwo Olu.

“But the President of Nigeria today is Bola Tinubu. Ohanaeze has pledged our loyalty to support our brother.

“What we want from Tinubu is justice, fairness, and equity. We don’t want to take another person’s state; whatever is our right should be given to us.

“We are going to support him, we are going to be loyal to him, and anybody who fights him unjustly, we are going to join him to fight such a person, but all we want is for him to give us our rights.”

Unlike Igbo younger folks who are crying and gnashing teeth privately, with how Yorubas and Tinubu are now seriously dealing with them, yet forming 'Nzogbu Nzogbu Eyimba' defiance publicly.

Aside how Tinubu is doing his thing, totally disinterested in Igbos, the penny dropped for Iwuanyanwu and other Igbo elders when they went to beg Tinubu for Kanu's release, and even bragged 'Kanu will be home for Xmas', only for supreme Court to announce the terrorist Kanu must stand trial.

That was when those elders realised that political, legislative, judicial and administrative power far exceeds Nzogbu Nzogbu empty noise and can hurt Igbos very seriously in the hands of Tinubu and other resolute and 'no-nonsense' Yoruba like Tokunbo Wahab the 'demolition man'.

Incidentally, after Kanu was told he will be standing trial, this same Iwuanyanwu has been warning Igbos to accept that Lagos has the power and right to demolish properties. Empty braggarts Igbos will be taught that "coward" Yorubas are never their mates. 😎😎😎😎

Bro read my post above. What Iwuanyanwu and other Ohanaeze elders are doing is akin to the pleading of a boxer Mike Tyson, in his prime, has landed a vicious kidney punch.

If you watch boxing you'll know what I mean as boxers punched devastingly to their kidney immediately sink to the floor with hands held up to say 'enough please.

They insulted, threatened and maligned Tinubu and Yorubas non-Stop after May 29 swearing in of BAT.

Yourbas largely remained silent. Yorubas are now showing them they have power and know how to use it devastatingly. The Nzogbu Nzogbu lot are now running scared, begging and pledging fake support for BAT.

As if we have memory deficit not to remember this same Iwuanyanwu called Yorubas "rascals" over election issues when they were all desperate for Obi and Chinedu to win and take over Nigeria and Lagos for them. Their pain only beginning.

I do understand the political support for Tinubu but I don't understand what he meant by 'Nobody want to take another person's state from him'. Does that make any sense to him considering that Nigeria is still operating as a whole.

Yorubas , Northerners and most astute Nigerian ethnic groups know not to take Igbos seriously because history has shown them to be a people who 'act in haste, repent at leisure" to then start begin and grovelling.

Most notable being Ojukwu who wasted millions of Igbo lives in a pointless civil war only to then return and contest to be President of Nigeria.

Precisely. What Igbos are beginning to understand, to their own pain and displeasure, is that Tinubu won't throw tantrums.

He won't be drawn into loutish vocal exchanges. He will not be goaded to then lash out for others to take "they hate us" advantage of as Igbos love doing.

They claimed universally that PMB hated them because of his 5% people comment. Tinubu won't call them "5% people", to put them on alert not to expect anything from him since they did not support him, as Buhari did.

He will not make "Dot in a circle" comment only for Abaribe and other shameless and jobless Igbo leaders to be rocking the t-shirt to gaslight PMB.

Tinubu will just move on silently to act in the best interest of Nigeria. If that be against the interest of unreasonable and uncouth IPOB blackmailers, then so be it.

If you read between the lines you will discover that chief Emmanuel Iwuanyanwu' statement is rich, diplomatic and wise.
He spoke boldly like a matured and fearless leader, I salute him.
He made it very clear that Igbo's resolutely decided to vote for their son PETER OBI, because it was their turn.
He did not mince word in saying it before his host.
However He acknowledged, like a statesman, that he is that now that the powers that be ( through crooked of bended means) have enthroned their choice and rubber stamped by the courts, the Igbos have to accept and be law abiding.
HE INSISTED, THAT OUR RIGHTS BE GIVEN TO US.
If that is not a manifestation of strong leadership character , then I don't what else it is.
