The earliest Nigerians realise that we Igbos hate oppression and intimidation the better we progress as a country. We stand and fight for justice irrespective of tribe and religion. We are lovely people who don't discriminate against others irrespective of enthnoreligious inclinations.

An average Igbo is ready to lay down his life in pursuit of justice for everyone. That's our God's given character. And it's in doing so, that other Nigerians mistake us as being domineering and acting too superior just because we hate pretence and eye service.

This is the igbo spirit , I quite agree with this but then let's have a look at a historical perspective ofbthe igbo spirit asnit relates with western Nigeria. that was the spirit of 1966 coup where there was crisis in western region that had nothing to do with igbos, the Nzeogwu led coup happened and Nigeria happened to igbo , the major beneficiaries of the coup even turned around to fight igbos and gave igbos a paltry £20 for all their bank deposits.

This almost happened in 1993 after the election of Abiola was annulled, hindsight took the better part of most igbos who decided to watch from the side. Notice that nothing came out-of June 12 Abiola died , oladipo Diya,Obasanjo went to jail


Another case was the endsars case in 2020 where all lagosians rose up in unity to protest police brutality, this was spearheaded by falz , other celebrities etc , the endsars has gradually metamophosed into an igbo attempt at taking over Lagos .

I still repeat, igbos should mind their business over what happens to Lagos or happens in western Nigeria.

reading this writeup reminded me of a certain video of group of some young Igbo men daring one Asian country police like that, I've forgotten the name of the country.
