Funke Akindele’s cinematic prowess has once again taken Nollywood by storm with her latest blockbuster, ‘A Tribe Called Judah.’ The film, which had its grand premiere at the Filmhouse Cinema IMAX, Lekki, Lagos, on December 10, 2023, marked a momentous occasion in the Nigerian film industry.

‘A Tribe Called Judah’ officially graced Nigerian cinema screens on December 15, 2023, and within just three days of its release, it has emerged as Nollywood’s crowning achievement in 2023.

Directed by Adeoluwa Owu (Captain Degzy), the film unfolds a gripping tale of a family planning a mall robbery, only to be entangled with armed robbers at the scene, leading to unforeseen consequences.

In a recent Instagram story post, Funke Akindele revealed that ‘A Tribe Called Judah’ raked in a staggering 122 million in just three days, solidifying its status as the number one film in Nigeria and Africa.
