The Son of GOD when He came to earth came as a Jew, not as a European or Chinese or Arab, but as a Jew.
How did He look? We know He did NOT look European and neither did He look Chinese or Indian. From the history of Ancient Israel, its proximity to Black Africa, the mingling with Black Egypt we can tell what He would have looked like. But here today, we are concerned with the Name of our Lord, the Son of GOD. We should know, or if we don’t know we can use Google search and other sources to know how Europe committed much cruelty upon our Race in the Americas and Caribbean who were taken there and enslaved. We know that GOD will do right and will treat all those involved in a just way in eternity.

What we know is that “in 1563, [a slave ship called] Jesus of Lübeck was chartered to a group of merchants by Queen Elizabeth 1st [of England], becoming involved in the Atlantic slave trade and smuggling under John Hawkins, who organized four slave voyages to West Africa and the West Indies between 1562 and 1568. We also know that the horrific savagery that enslaved Africans in the Americas and Caribbean suffered, was done in the name of “Jesus”.

Jesus is a European name/word, it is Greek. Europeans could have kept the original Jewish name for the Son of GOD but they wanted a European Son of God and Europianised Him. Should Africans copy the Europeans or should we go for the TRUE Name of the Son of GOD? Much evil was carried out upon Enslaved Africans under that name of “Jesus Christ”, and also upon the Native Americans, the Ameridians, and the indigenous people of Australia.

At Christianity for Africans we believe that once Truth is known, it must be applied. We also believe that for the healing of our people from the unbelievable Trauma of the enslavement of our brothers in the Americas and Caribbean, it helps to dissociate ourselves from the name under which unbearable torture was carried out.

Henceforth, we shall be using the Jewish Name for the Son of GOD in honour of that True GOD of Scripture who condemns the enslavement of Africans and of any people. We will praise and honour the Son of GOD who came to SET CAPTIVES FREE and not at all to enslave anybody. As such we will use His true Name which is ---

Note: Hamashiach means Messiah.

In fact, even the word “Christian” and “Christianity” should also be changed. But to what, we don’t yet know. That, will certainly come.

We praise and give glory to Yeshua Hamashiach our Saviour and Redeemer! Amen.
