APGA NATIONAL CHAIRMAN MOURNS THE PASSING OF PA SIMEON SOLUDO,
FATHER OF HIS EXCELLENCY PROFESSOR CHARLES CHUKWUMA SOLUDO, CFR.

[Isuofia] - The National Chairman of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa, together with his wife, Mrs. Amara Ezeokenwa, led the members of APGA National Working Committee in mourning the loss of Pa Simeon Soludo, the father of the Executive Governor of Anambra State and the National Leader of APGA, Prof Chukwuma Soludo CFR. The funeral service, which included a burial mass, was held at St. Theresa's Catholic Church in Umueze Isuofia.

The solemn burial mass was presided over by the Catholic Bishop of Ekwuluobia Diocese, His Eminence, Peter Cardinal Okpalaeke. In his sermon, His Eminence shared words of comfort and guidance during this time of grief. Through his preaching, His Eminence highlighted the remarkable life and contributions of Pa Simeon Soludo, emphasizing his love for family, community, and dedication to service.

The APGA family remains deeply saddened by the loss of Pa Simeon Soludo. On behalf of APGA, Barr. Sly Ezeokenwa once again extended condolences to the Anambra State Governor, Prof Chukwuma Charles Soludo, the Soludo family, the government and the people of Anambra State, and all those whose lives were touched by Pa Simeon Soludo's kindness and generosity. "May they find solace in the support and unity displayed during this mourning period."

"The memory of Pa Simeon Soludo will forever remain in our hearts, serving as a source of inspiration and a reminder of the values we hold dear. APGA will honor his legacy by continuing to strive for the progress and development of our dear nation."

In his welcome address, Governor Soludo delivered heartfelt gratitude to the members of the clergy present at the burial mass. He acknowledged their invaluable support, guidance, and spiritual presence during this difficult time. Governor Soludo also extended his heartfelt gratitude to everyone in attendance at the funeral service. He expressed sincere appreciation to all who came to pay their respects, offered prayers, and supported the Soludo family in different ways during their time of grief.

The burial had many distinguished guests from various sectors of society, including Vice President, Alhaji Kashim Shetima, Mr. Peter Obi, Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State, Governor Alex Otti of Abia State, Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State, Ministers, Senators, Members of the House of Representatives, Members of the Anambra State Executive Council, State Legislators, Bishops, Priests, Professionals, and Captains of industry, among many others.
