Am confused. Is it the same tin with our normal snacks like doughnut, eggroll, puff puff?
I just want to know because i plan going into foods.
And is it only in events or outings dat small chops are prepared?

Ur right. U cud include spring rolls, peppered meats(especially),.... Something someone can take in very few bites and it will finish( that's my definition of it.)


That means doughnuts will not be part of it, unless they are made very small.

It's just that in Nigeria the variety is very limited.

In a place like Asia like I see on YouTube u will see grilled shrimps, chopped oyster rolls, crab rolls, etc even dumplings made in tiny sizes.



But in naija the term small chops generally means small pieces of meat, small puff puff and one or 2 other small items.

Next year sha i intend going to a man who fries puff puff, doughnuts and eggroll on the roadside to learn, so as i too can start frying on the road in the future.

U wlcm. Am a doctor tho so pardon the way I answer u with so many thing muddled up.
Just that av been cooking since primary school days( like real cooking, grilling and stuffs)
Used to cook for my school back then and I do Italian and Chinese dishes too. As a hobby o.


So back to ur question. Ur location matters, and the kind of people there and how they spend and what they like to eat.

I stay in abuja and over here there is this very large pharmacy/supermarket that sells these kind of stuff in one section.
So like they they even package ( meat pie, spring rolls, 3 samosas, one fried meat, and pufff puff into a plate like paper with a transperent nylon sealing it. I'll snap and show u how it looks if I get there this week but God's Grace.

I think it's a nice marketing strategy and it gets sold out fast. Mind u the meat pie inside it is not that big too, smaller than the average meat pie. I think the whole thing goes for about 1,800 naira or so.

So am thinking someone supplies them.


So if u can find a good supermarket ( I don't k ow what city u in) u cud negotiate.


Puff puff sells well cos of kids.
And meat pies sell well cos of adults.

In fact this same place sells another version of the meat pie that goes for 850 naira. It's big and full of meat tho.
And sells out fast. The meat pie tastes very good tho.

So try and target meat pies too and believe me when people see that u stuff ur meat pie well with meat and it tastes well with the right amoutand balance of spices they will rush it.


Nigerians don't like to buy a pie and end up seeing plenty potatoes inside it.
