If this was a progressive, fair and balanced country Aba should have witnessed some serious federal intervention in infrastructure….same with Nnewi and Onitsha! Had Aba been in a different country, by now it would be rivalling other continental industrial and commercial cities of repute!

I met a fellow who was in Aba in the 60s generation till 90s that told me that in the 60s, 70s and early 80s until 1983 coup Aba was at par with some of the Asian powers that Nigeria is rushing to for support. Aba had a metallurgical complex , machine toll complex, Glass Industry and a very active entrepreneurial community, Aba products were known all over Africa and did not under perform under Indian , Chinese, Taiwan, Vietnam products, these were the years the Asian tigers were at early stages. It was not by chance that Aba was known as the Japan of Africa by all because of the Japanese manufacturing prowess and knowhow

Aba that is the den of fake products where people life are not valued all because they want to make quick and fast money.

Everything about East is based on self help yet there is supposed to be a federal government with all the resources and policies at their disposal. Imagine Barth Nnaji had to take foreign loans running into millions of dollars to build a private power plant in Aba. Yet the federal government decided to frustrate him by selling his Aba Ringed Fence to Emeka Offor's EEDC.

Sometimes, I don't blame Igbos for wanting out of Nigeria because the hate against them is real. It's worse than witchcraft!

When I see Otti doing what he is doing, my belief in God grows stronger.
What Otti should try to do next is to permanently change Abia state politically, making it IMPOSSIBLE for thieves to ever smell the governor's office again.
Anambra did it, and so can Abia.
Once thieves are bound hands and feet and cast into the lake of fire, the future brightens permanently for the state.
I saw Otti at Soludo's father's funeral, and I saw Peter Obi there too.
That tells me that he is in the right company.
Abia's future is bright.
