I think something is wrong. Wasn't few days ago we shouted happy new year and welcome to 2023 in church. How come it's 2024 already? What's wrong, I meant I can still remember how I bought sticker in church this year January and now it's already few days to 2024. This is not how it used to be while I was a kid, I mean we wait for Christmas and new year like its the second coming of jesus christ. It's the same time, but as we grow older, the speed of time gets different. One-year period will be a long time to a five year old child because one year is about 20% of his life. Everyday will seem like an adventure since he still has so much to learn, and so much to do. He is basically on discovery mode. You probably don't notice the goats fighting but to him, it's new. From flying kite, doing fireworks, running with friends and video games, a day is longer for a child than an adult. To an adult (eg a 35 years old man) , a one-year period is about 3% of his life. It will only seems long if a lot that haven't happened before happened. If the present year has more new activities than the previous, it will be long. So maybe he got married and bought a house in a new city he moved to, got a new job and had a baby, then a one-year period will seem long. So to actually enjoy life is to engage in lots of activities that will make the day feel alive. You should maintain that child like curiousity of the world, and don't make it fade off.  Omoh..this is so funny I swear down... It reminds me of back then when we shouted happy new year,and an old man who was standing close to us just kept quiet and was sad......I could feel his plight.......He nodded his head and said to us in a low tune which I can never forget--"My children,as una dey shout happy new year,na so una still dey old dey go"  Now,I'm in my early thirties and I now understand what the old man meant by what he said that night.. 3 Likes |

When you become an adult life happens so fast and time wait for nobody nothing is wrong with the universe Sometimes I seriously question the age I will become next year and be like God, I was just an adolescent few years ago, what happened πππ But lifeβs good, as long as you are not nursing any sickness or ailment, disease etc, be grateful π 2 Likes |
