Oladoyin Odebowale popularly known as the High Priest, has resigned his appointment as the Senior Special Assistant, Special Duties & Strategy to the Governor of Ondo State with immediate effect.

Other persons who have resigned are former Ondo Head of Service, Dare Aragbaiye and Chief Press Secretary to Governor Akeredolu, Richard Olatunde.

Aragbaiye resigned as Special Adviser to the Governor on Union Matters and Special Duties.

In a letter to Secretary to the State Government, Princess Oladunni Odu said: “My decision to resign is based on the unfortunate death of my Principal, a fearless and honest leader, Governor Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odurayo Akeredolu, SAN.CON, whom I am loyal to even in death.

I wish him all the best in his endeavor. But hope there's no rift between himself and the governor

Oga nobody wished him dead, he knew has not going to make it, his family and cronies knew same but they still wanted to hold onto power and force his Deputy out. Power is transient, I wonder how all of them who were trying to force the new governor out will feel comfortable now

Most of them really antagonise the current governor when he was fighting for his political future!

Assuming the right thing was done in transferring power to the deputy, there wouldn't have been any unnecessary drama.

The Deputy is the eventually winner in all of this as he has been able to win the sympathy of the public and in so doing separated himself from whatever failure or bad press of the former governor's administration.
