When Sanusi was heading the CBN, the Senate committee responsible for overseeing the affairs of the CBN demanded that the then President Goodluck call Sanusi to order in what they deemed as Sanusi's overreaching corporate responsibility projects.


Under corporate responsibility, Sanusi doled money to many institutions, causes and projects that were exclusively concentrated in the north - Kano specifically.


Now there is no crime for the autonomous central bank in carrying out corporate responsibility projects. The senators were more pained that hundreds of billions were being spent without their authorization and kickbacks. Some members of that committee were angered by the CBN governor concentrating these largesse only in the north.

Be that as it may, can you defenders of Emefile mention just one social intervention funding carried out by Emefile when he was CBN governor ?
