Today, I joined in the celebration of the 98th birthday anniversary of a highly revered monarch, the Traditional Ruler of Nnewi Community, HRM Igwe Kenneth Onyeneke Orizu III at Nnewi, Anambra State.

The respected and admired monarch also marked his 60th anniversary on the throne. I felt gratified celebrating a man who, through his reign has contributed immensely to the growth, peace, and development of the Nnewi community and the wider Anambra state community and beyond.

As a father figure, he greatly impacted me positively. I recall while I was the Governor of Anambra State, he was one of those who would always give me genuine selfless advice. May his wisdom continue to guide the Nnewi community and all those who seek his wisdom.

From there I proceeded to Enugwu-Ukwu to celebrate with another accomplished woman, Lady Dorothy Okeke, as she marked her 90th birthday. Lady Dorothy Okeke is the mother of Dr Nkem Okeke, who served as the Commissioner for Economic Planning under my administration and went on to become the Deputy Governor of Anambra State. I pray God to protect and bless these nonengenrians with abundant health and happiness, as they continue to impact positively on the younger generation in wisdom and love. -PO
