Ever experienced a setback ?
Did you move forward towards a next direction that’s even better or you went back to correct a mistake .

I was on a rigorous postgrad Legal course here in the States, it’s one of those course that seems long and daring but if you’re halfway you thank God but you can never imagine failing and repeating because that’s just too distressful.
For example, my course is not just read, pass & move to stage 2.
It’s a host of legal work placement in different states, those internships are beyond stressful, far & expensive due to transport & accommodations.

One day on the legal placement I just decided I can’t carry on and I quit! because the senior staffs are just evil! I was getting pressure on every side and couldn’t take it anymore.
Looking back, if I could just persevere more I would be half way now.
When I quit, I had a 4 weeks cooling period by the board as they are also aware that the course is pressure.
So of course within those 4 weeks I was ready to go back and manage things better but now i’m starting at the beginning again sad
My mates are practically half way and I’m in stage 1 again. Still have to do same work placement that I’ve nearly completed again from the start.
I feel as if I fell down flat 💔

What really demotivated me to even quit easily was that before I enrolled, I had an option of running my own firm & being self employed. Altho risky, with proper planning it’s a fantastic move & even more profitable

..The loss was too much for me to bear and I don’t know if I should move on with my initial plan of running my own legal firm alongside a freelance contracts with big firms like many do or go back to repeat such rigorous experience.

The program is a rare federal official opportunity with very low completion rate.
However, the pay is not even a lot, it’s good as an achievement though but the challenge I described above can destroy someone cos I do I begin again ??

If you have married now, you would blame all these stagnation and retrogression on marriage. You would transfer aggression of trials/persecution in ur office to ur wife and kids.

When the woman tired condoning ur toxic attitude and Marriage eventually cracks or crashed, you will put the whole blame on marriage institution and free urself from any blame.

If you latter post it here, hopeless guys would stand with you , without even know the genesis of ur plights and start singing their usual anthem "Marriage Na scam." Marriage not for everybody. Blablabla!

BACK TO POST.

I WILL ADVICE YOU TO FOCUS ON ANY OF OPTIONS YOU ARE TOTALLY CONVINCED WOULD TAKE YOU OUT OF WOOD AND MAKE SURE YOU BECOME "EXTRAORDINARY" IN IT.

BRO, EVERY WAY TO SUCCESS IS HARD O, DONT ALSO FORGET TO BACKUP UR OPTIONS WITH PRAYER TO BREAKDOWN, IF THERE IS ANY SPIRITUAL STRONGHOLD HOLDING YOU BACK.

🤔

Please visit a mental health counselor so you can become unstuck. There are millions of people here who are doing nearly similar and they too had to work hard and overcome several setbacks to reach their goal. You keep revisiting this obviously because you may be stuck somewhere and counseling may not be a bad next step to help figure out exactly where. Somehow, I believe it has something to do with the way you process your interaction with others in your environment as well. undecided

Nigerians don't quit, as long as there's a trophy to be won at the end.

Stay put in the field and fight harder

I

"When we hit our lowest point, we are open to the greatest change" - Avartar Aang

Don't dwell on the "ifs" and "why". Dwelling on the past and regretful reflection will leave you broken and weak in purpose.

Get a good mentor, discuss well and rescope your plan with will and a strong purpose. In a few years , you'll likely not even see your present loss as something to regret.

Also, you are in the state's, the world's largest economy, thriving in innovation and opportunities, what is one wasted opportunity?

All you've lost is time, you've gained experience and awareness that should serve you well in your next quest.
