It’s not theme “annual year prophecy” the church just follows a routine of bringing out theme of the year where they run the year through them..now for a house of God that worships and prays they set and vision which there’s nothing wrong and ofcourse after such prayers and faith GOD can reveal something and it can be anytime of the year and the end of the year is not an exception

Annual New Year Prophecies: A Man-Made Tradition Or Inspired Of God?

I believe it's not of God but a man-made tradition which many church leaders have embraced, hence why they rarely come to pass.

What do you think?

Man fuckingmade! And the predictions are all fake.
God does not know January to December, that he will start dishing out visions every January.

they only got that idea from Elijah the tishbite. Due to accuracy of his words the Bible says god did not let his words fall to the ground. Now taking it from there the nigerian pastors have come up with a concept that god will just append his signature to anything they say. Its like making a budget or writing out a quotation then passing it to the chairman for Approval. They think they so close to god that what ever they say god will just stamp it as his words.

They are not prophecies but permutations.
In the Bible, God got his prophets to prophesy at intervals, but in Nigeria, they are released only at the start of the year.

One person started it, others thought it was cool, copied it and it has now become a norm of Nigerian Christianity.
The same way one lady started shaving off her real eyebrows just to draw fake brows with colored pencils and other girls copied it and today, it as a fashion norm.

But what I don't understand is god's interest in premier league, APC, G5 and even impeachments; another thing I don't understand is why no one ever holds these pastors accountable when their permutations don't come to pass.

Are there any differences between these pastors prophecies and Soothsaying?
Does the bible encourage Soothsaying.

Let's ponder more

Well... I know NONE of them predicted the COVID-19 pandemic.

I also know when it started, none of them could predict the end.

Late TB Joshua and Chris Oyakhilome just openly embarrassed themselves with the pandemic.

In the body of Christ, there is constant revelation of the future which may or may not occur. These revelations are often times warning and in some other times advice that when worked upon results to fulfillment or annulment of the revelations. It doesn't make it fake for not playing out as seen in revelations.
But revelations has been reduced to reading the Bible and giving meaning to the passage that appeals to you and confessing such words constantly in the name of faith. The actual revelation has been reduced to science definitions of memory due to rapid eyes movement,(REM) without science showing with proof an induced rapid eye movement.
While permutations of possible occurrences is not dismissible, saying such things as revelations not being real should be your personal opinion.

.... it's easy for satan (ruler of this world) to tell the wolves in sheep clothing called pastors what he plans to do, problem is the ANCIENT OF DAYS determines whether it comes to pass or not.

Without a shadow of a doubt, it's BS spouted out by Charlatans, none of whom saw Covid coming despite the brutal world changing effects it had.

Are we talking about the Annual Conditional Prophecies we get from our pastors? E g "the mandate to rule Nigeria has been given to Atiku IF the power that be did not interfere" mehn even if a prophecy by anyone comes to pass, it's a mere coincidence. This i have seen

5) Naira will close at 2k after hitting 2700

6) MNK will come out this year still motivate ipob

6) fuel will hit 1k even as dangote refinery is running

7) Tinubu will go medical leave and Shettima will boost the economy to the amazement of many.

cool Yoruba race and Fulani will clash in one of the states in the west.

God is always speaking .
That said, this tradition is man made but inspired. It is to counter the new year worldly resolution.
If you observe , at its simplicity - they are mostly prayers. Prophecies can change . ( this is what I will do but there is repentance and a change of heart )

The only prophecies/prophecy is the ones written in the holy book (Bible). No new prophecies I will ever believe. All those men are prophesying are just mere philosophies of men and we nor go gree for anybody
