Officially commissioned in July 2023, our shuttle bus service was designed as a workplace mobility solution to assist Edo State civil servants in effectively carrying out their duties between three key areas that host the highest percentage of government business. These areas are the Edo State Government House, State Secretariat, and John Odigie-Oyegun Public Service Academy (JOOPSA).

Operated by Move Monkey, our shuttle bus makes eight hourly round trips between the aforementioned locations.
The day’s trip begins as it departs the State Secretariat for Government House by 8:20 am and ends as it departs the Secretariat for Government House by 4:20 pm.

The schedule of the shuttle is as follows: Secretariat - Government House (departs every 20th minute of the hour), JOOPSA - Government House; departs every 50th minute of the hour, while Government House - Secretariat departs every 5th minute of the hour.

The timing of the shuttle is strictly adhered to in a bid to ensure that government business doesn’t suffer downtime of any sort.
It is interesting to add that the feedback from the civil servants who are our passengers is heartwarming as many of them hailed the shuttle service for its consistency, even as they lauded the diligence of Move Monkey in changing the narrative.

More so, our shuttle service has greatly mitigated the bottleneck arising from the need for multiple vehicles for the dispatch of official correspondence between the Edo State Government House, Secretariat, and Joopsa.

Before Move Monkey’s emergence on the scene, civil servants on dispatch duties usually required vehicles for different MDAs. It was a cumbersome process and led to the government spending the bulk of its revenue on fueling and maintenance of vehicles.

As it is, our shuttle service has ended the era of waste and instilled efficiency and transparency by ensuring that a pool of MDAs can utilize our shuttle service to carry out their dispatch duties at the same time and no extra cost!
